The first time my husband and I visited Global Grill, we had barely an hour until closing. (For the record, it’s not our fault that basically every restaurant in town closes by 10 pm on weekends and we follow what I like to call more of a “European” eating schedule).

Just stroll down Palafox St. Global Grill and Jackson’s (both excellent) are there, plus a lot more. We go down there most Friday’s for dinner, then Cigar Factory for drinks, a cigar for me, sit on the sidewalk and people watch. If you want to go cheap on Palafox, try The Dog House.

From Cafe Single Fin to Global Grill there really is something for everyone. As Pensacola continues to blossom downtown and beyond have been filling up with more local entrepreneurs, artisans and chefs. It’s a wonderful part of our little space on the Gulf Coast.

The food is consistent, the servers are impeccably trained and knowledgeable and we love the owners, Jane and (Chef) Frank. Fun fact: Jane recently went gluten-free, so the menu now includes plenty of GF options, all marked with a little “gf” icon.
