Reviews Summary

Yuki Yama Sushi receives acclaim for its exceptionally fresh fish, innovative dishes, and lively atmosphere. Diners particularly praise the omakase experience and attentive service, with staff like Brodie and Stacie often highlighted. However, some find the menu confusing and the food quality inconsistent at times, leading to a mixed experience for a few patrons.

"Brodie took incredible care of us two nights in a row. Highly recommend sitting at the bar and letting the chef guide you omakase style and let Brodie help you with sake recommendations throughout, Stacie was wonderful in guiding our palettes as well, and it’s worth noting the incredible atmosphere and soundtrack that this place offers in Park City, a very fun night out with incredible food and service! Truly a highly of our first trip to Park City"

Matthew Summers

"Without a doubt one of the best sushis I’ve tasted. The attention to detail to boost each individual flavor is impressive. The service is 5 stars, but Brodie in particular went above and beyond to ensure we had a great experience. Definitely recommend and will be coming back for sure."

Regulo Salinas

"We had an excellent experience. From the time we walked in they were happy to see us and made us feel welcomed. Within a minute of sitting down the manager came to check on us and ask us if we had any questions about the menu or the restaurant. We love sushi and asked for some recommendations and after asking us a few questions he made some excellent recommendations. The beers and cocktails he recommended were great, the appetizers and entrees were excellent. We had a few appetizers (spicy edemame and fried stuff shishito peppers), wagyu on a sizzling salt block, the executive role and some great sashimi as well. The sushi chefs were very friendly and equally attentive to us. Overall an excellent experience with excellent service and food. Would definitely come back."

The 22 Best Restaurants In Park City, Utah - Park City

Sushi in a land-locked mountain town might sound suspicious, like a shark pledging a human-free diet, but at Yuki Yama, fish is flown in daily for the extensive menu of hot plates, noodles, sashimi, and creative maki. Grab a tall booth for a date night or get a seat at the sushi bar to see the chefs in action. Start with the Yama-mame, Yuki’s spin on edamame seasoned with garlic, togarashi, and cherry preserves, then try the wagyu beef tataki—served on a sizzling Himalayan sea salt block—and move on to the chef’s choice nigiri.

What to Do in Park City, Utah in the Winter

Utah isn’t on the coast, so you wouldn’t expect to find good sushi. But given Park City’s close proximity to SLC airport, fresh fish can be flown in from all over the world—a perk that Japanese restaurant Yuki Yama takes full advantage of. Located on Park City’s Main Street, Yuki Yama is helmed by chef Kirk Terashima and features a menu filled with both hot Japanese dishes like ramen and stuffed shishito peppers and cold items including, you guessed it, sushi.

The 18 Hot Spots for Eating & Drinking in Park City, Jan '15

We all love a bar or eatery where everybody knows our name, even if we’re only in town for three days. Here, the staff, from receptionist and sushi chefs to servers (if you get the guy channeling Elvis Costello, score!) will know yours, and it’s totally genuine. Sit in the front where the action is, at one of the high bar tables or the sushi bar, and slurp up the rich, savory Pork Ramen (layered with thick slices of meat capped with burnished cracklings), or binge on house specialty rolls like the Executive (Tempura Shrimp, Avocado, and Cilantro, Maguro, Lime, Eel Sauce, and Habanero), or the Bruce Lee Roy (Spicy Tombo, Avocado, Shishito Pepper, Wagyu Beef, Truffle Garlic Ponzu, Crispy Shallots, and Black Sea Salt).
