Even though Butcher’s is a nice steak house (“elegance without arrogance” is the owner’s motto), with one of the most appealing bars in town (a full wall of gleaming bottles behind the bar, views of the Town Lift just outside the door), they double as a great place to go and watch the game. The late night menu is offered until midnight. Order the housemade potato chips topped with melted Monterey Jack and aged blue cheese.

Among the glitz of Main Street, Butcher’s isn’t the fanciest or swankiest place in town. But when I’m craving a steak or similar and I’m on Main Street and not wanting to break the bank – I come here. Throughout the year the restaurant offers 2-for-1 specials meaning your filet mignon is free if your partner orders up some delicious king crab legs for example.

The large patio, located next to the Town Lift Plaza, has the best mountain views in town, and it’s an excellent ending to a scenic chairlift ride or Home Run hike. It’s also a prime spot for relaxing over signature cocktails and lobster nachos, steaks, seafood and pasta while enjoying a front row seat for live music and entertainment from the plaza.

Butcher’s Chop House – one of my personal faves, with a great patio right under the town lift on Park Ave. They also have alpenglobes and a large yurt in the winter months. When I’m craving a chopped salad, I go to Butcher’s.

I had the filet mignon with garlic herb butter, mashed potatoes, and broccoli. This was my first time eating at a restaurant (other than my 1 safe spot) in 9 years!. My first fine dining experience was divine and scrumptious!
