There is the famous Town Lift, which runs right from Main Street, but this is is within walking distance of just a handful of properties, most notably the soon to be greatly expanded luxury residential hotel, Sky & Main. But for most people staying in Park City proper, the day starts with a shuttle bus ride to the old base area of the former PCMR, even more dated than the one at Canyons - and with virtually no public parking

Riverhorse on Main Set in a 1908 building (the onetime Mason Hall), Riverhorse brings a downtown vibe to the mountains with its metal columns, tall windows, and arcing skylight. The sophisticated feel is upped by a power-hitter wine list that globetrots from Napa to New Zealand, Burgundy to Lebanon, with good selections of half-bottles, magnums, and wines-by-the-glass to boot.

One of the reasons for that is that they have gluten-free (celiac safe) Utah Sweet Onion Slivers with a spicy ranch dipping sauce. This past trip, we visited twice as it is also great for my daughter with allergies and my vegetarian husband. I ordered the Slow Roasted Turkey Melt with a side of the fantastic onion slivers.

This restaurant does take reservations and you should probably make one, otherwise you could be waiting a while. I was initially drawn in by the music they had blasting outside (Metallica gets me every time). They also have poutine on their menu, which as a Canadian makes me very excited.

There are sophisticated restaurants like Ghidotti’s for Italian and 350 Main for seafood and steaks. Speaking of steak, there are a few steakhouses such as Grub Steak (since 1976) or the familiar Ruth's Christ Steak House. Adolph's offers casually elegant Swiss food.

Cozy, CASUAL lunch spot with fireplaces upstairs along with gluten free, vegetarian, and vegan options. Perfect spot for Après ski (just ski down to the bottom of Town Lift, drop your skis off at High West, and walk on over!) We came here a lot – so good!!

Boneyard Saloon - Not on Main Street but cool spot to watch game 7 of Stanley Cup. Packed, solid beer selection, and I was happy with the wings.
