Reviews Summary

Nikki's Place is celebrated for its authentic, flavor-packed soul food and exceptionally generous portions, creating a warm, family-like dining experience. While many praise the tender chitterlings, flavorful pork chops, and delicious sides like yams and collard greens, some reviews mention issues with seasoning, overcooked or undercooked items, and an overly strong smell from certain dishes. The customer service has also received mixed feedback, with some experiencing rudeness.

"First and foremost OMG!!! Small place but big in personality, professionalism, laughter and flavor. First time visiting here but they explained the menu and were also very helpful. Today they were also short staffed but that didn't slow them down in no way at all. I ordered pig feet, yams, cabbage with potato salad and a corn muffin. What they need to do is hand out pillows and blankets after your meal because there is nothing but bed time after you eat all that good food. EVERYTHING was good there was nothing that failed in the flavor department!!! A must visit if you've never been."

"I really wanted to love this spot—there’s a lot of potential here, and you can tell they’re on the right track with Southern staples. I ordered the chitterling dinner with white rice, collard greens, and macaroni and cheese, and also the pig feet dinner with mac and cheese and baked beans.

The sides were okay overall. The mac and cheese didn’t really give that “made with love” flavor I was hoping for, but the baked beans were delicious. The greens had good seasoning, but there were a lot of stems, which took away from the texture for me.

The chitterlings were fairly seasoned, but unfortunately, the smell was very overpowering—even for someone who cooks them regularly and knows what to expect. They seemed like they weren’t thoroughly cleaned, with membrane still visible. I only got a few bites in before I had to stop. That’s just a personal preference, though—I know everyone prepares them differently.

The pig feet were flavorful, slightly meaty, and seasoned well.

Overall, it wasn’t quite my cup of tea, but I can see where they’re headed and appreciate the effort. I’d give it a 6/10—there’s room to grow, and I’m sure others may enjoy it depending on their taste and expectations."

"I have been looking forward to eating from here for a long time. I have followed the restaurant for years on Facebook. When I finally got the change to eat here i was disappointed. Maybe i caught them on a bad day I don't know. My mac & cheese got melted on the foam plate you can see it in the pictures. My chicken tasted off like it was reheated it was also dry. Now the candy yams that was on point absolutely delicious. The cornbread was average. I might give them another try if I do and its better I will update this review."
