Reviews Summary
Bosphorous Turkish Cuisine is highly praised for its authentic and flavorful Turkish dishes, with many highlighting the tender lamb shanks and signature lavas bread. The warm atmosphere and attentive service contribute to a memorable dining experience, making it a recommended spot for both casual meals and special occasions. While most reviews are overwhelmingly positive, occasional mentions of specific dishes or minor service details can be found.
"We’ve been loyal customers across multiple Bosphorous locations and the Winter Park spot continues their tradition of excellence. The chicken shish kebab was perfectly grilled - tender and bursting with flavor. The lamb shanks were incredible, falling off the bone with rich, savory taste. Generous portions that satisfy without being excessive.
The real standout is their lavas bread - absolutely amazing and something I haven’t found at any other Mediterranean restaurant in the area. It’s become our go-to order every single visit.
Beautiful décor creates an authentic Mediterranean atmosphere that’s both elegant and welcoming. Perfect for date nights or family dinners.
Consistency across all Bosphorous locations is remarkable - same high-quality food and excellent service wherever you go. If you’re looking for genuine Mediterranean cuisine with exceptional hospitality, this is your spot. The lavas bread alone makes it worth the visit!
Highly recommend to anyone wanting authentic Mediterranean flavors and a great dining experience."

"Up until I ate here, my favorite Turkish place was a little family owned restaurant in West New York, NJ. This place has the atmosphere and charm of a small place, but the food is significantly elevated. We started with the Red Lentil Soup, one of my favorites, and it was simply the best I've ever has. And, it just got better from there. Everything was fresh and perfectly prepared. And topped it all off with Turkish coffee - simply delicious. The service was also exceptional - very attentive without being intrusive. The prices were surprisingly low for such a nice place. We will definitely be coming back."

"I haven’t been back to this place in almost 9 years since I moved out of this area and I am so glad to be back, and this time I brought my boyfriend and it was his first time. We both had an amazing experience and our server, James, was so awesome! Very knowledgeable about their food items and gave great suggestions. My favorite was the kunefe! Definitely will come back and hoping it won’t take 9 years before we could again. 😄"

Scott Joseph Orlando Restaurant Guide
I wasn’t at all sure how it would travel, but I knew I had to have the lavas when I got takeout from Bosphorous, the Turkish restaurant on Park Avenue (and other locations). Lavas, as anyone who has dined at Bosphorous knows, is the signature “hollow bread,” also sometimes called balloon bread because it poofs up with steam when it’s baked. The first time I saw it I called it Jiffy Pop bread because that’s what it reminded me of.
