Twisted Fork

I couldn’t write an article about Omaha and not include one of the tastiest appetizers ever!. This off-the-hook delicious appetizer is the Chicken Fried Bacon from Twisted Fork Grill and Saloon at the historic Old Market District. I’m serious; you are missing out if you have yet to try this fantastic way to eat bacon dipped in a side of Southern peppercorn gravy.

In Philadelphia's Old City, Chef Kulp — one of Food and Wine's best new chefs of 2014 — experiments with modern techniques and bold flavors at Fork, a 2014 James Beard semifinalist for outstanding restaurant. Guests can indulge in unique dishes, such as dandelion gnudi and smoked trout caviar, at this Zagat top-rated venue.

Easygoing grill with a welcoming vibe—perfect for families, brunch lovers, and steak fans alike. Brunch at this spot delivers not only quality food but also standout service. The turkey, bacon, and avocado skillet, set on a bed of savory potatoes and finished with hollandaise sauce, hits the mark for flavor and freshness.

Tip: This is one of the few places with a kid’s portion on the brunch menu. It’s also one of the few places with a flight of mimosas or a build-your-own mimosa option with four juices and a bottle of champagne, so hey, there’s something for everyone.

Twisted Fork prides itself on providing excellent Midwestern service with a cowboy flair. The atmosphere is cozy and has beautiful chandeliers and mirrors, evoking the feeling of an old-timey saloon.
