What do you do if you can not pronounce the wine? Still order the wine, point or say I can not pronounce it or just give it a shot. Who cares if you say it wrong, it happens! #winepronounciations #winetok #omahawinebar #skouras #greekwines

Reviews Summary

Twisted Cork Bistro offers a high-quality dining experience reminiscent of larger cities, with exceptional food and attentive service. Diners rave about the fresh seafood flown in daily, gourmet burgers, and creative dishes, complemented by a strong Pacific Northwest wine list. While generally praised, some reviews note occasional service slowness due to being short-staffed, and a lack of child-specific seating.

"The server (Valerie) was friendly and helpful. We all started with soups which had a very complex and delightful profile. We couldn't decide if we liked the Nebraska Corn Chowder or Tomato-Red Pepper Bisque better - you can't go wrong. The Sea Scallops, Twisted Cork Burger and Wild Halibut all danced across our taste buds. We were there on a Tuesday right at 5 and had no problem getting a table but you may consider a reservation for the weekend."

"Had dinner here with friends and place was packed service was friendly. And prices were very reasonable especially for us Californians. We shared multiple appetizers, the Popovers with Apple Butter ( not too happy with the Apple Butter so orders regular butter instead.). The popovers were light and flaky. The Laura’s Lavish and Brussels and Cauliflower were both very good. I did not have the Whidby Island Shrimp as I am allergic to shellfish but the group enjoyed the dish. The black cod in a hot pot and the Deunken mussels were good too. We shared a Ghirardelli Chocolate collie which was served warm with Vanilla ice cream. I was told the at this place was very popular with locals. After dinner we went to the Vault downstairs which is speakeasy styled bar, dark but not smoky"

"Had an amazing girlfriend evening with fabulous drinks and food! Make sure you make a reservation ahead of time otherwise you might not get a table right away. Fortunately we lucked out."

The dining room here is just the right size to feel intimate. Again, it delivers on all the makings of a romantic restaurant: great wine (mostly focused on the upper northwest, so look for a pinot noir in particular), a focus on sustainable seafood and wonderful seasonal items that are hearty and priced right. It’s great for a date.
