Reviews Summary

Gather is praised for its innovative approach to New American cuisine, especially its use of hyper-fresh ingredients from its on-site urban farm. Diners rave about signature dishes like the pork buns and Brussels sprouts, and appreciate the attentive service and inviting atmosphere, particularly the unique patio spaces. While generally positive, some find the pricing a bit high, and certain dishes like elote were noted as average.

"The restaurant is spacious and comfortable, tables are not shoved together. Our waitress was very helpful in answering our questions and making recommendations. We enjoyed all aspects of the meal from drinks to dessert. The pork buns and flourless cake stole the show. We will be back."

Daniel Scott

"The food was overall incredible, the drinks were quick, and the service was awesome.

By far the start of the night were the pork buns. Easily one of the best bites of food I’ve had in months since moving to Omaha. So many different flavors and textures. Probably could have ordered 2-3 more pork bun apps and skipped the entree!"

Chris S

"We tried three dishes here: the Caesar salad, elk Bolognese pasta, and pork buns — and all three were absolutely delicious!

The pork buns were incredibly soft and fluffy, and the filling of veggies and meat was full of flavor. The elk Bolognese came with grilled baguette slices, and the smoky aroma from the grill was so good I’d definitely order more next time. It paired beautifully with the rich, hearty sauce.

I also had Caesar salad with anchovies on top for the first time — the tangy flavor was surprisingly good and made it a perfect match with beer.

As for drinks, I initially ordered a local beer and received a canned one, but later realized you get draft beer if you order from the "Tap Beer" section — so be sure to check that!

The staff here were all incredibly kind and attentive, which made the experience even better. Downstairs, there's a beautiful indoor hydroponic vegetable growing area — really unique and worth a look.

Highly recommend this place!"

I know this list features a lot of patios in the Old Market, but trust me: Gather is on top of the patio game in a big way. Not only has it reinvented the large patio on Howard Street, in front of the restaurant, it has a second, equally large patio at the back of the restaurant, tucked in a nook off 11th Street. I have dined on both and like them both quite a bit.
