"We had such a wonderful lunch at Nye Beach Cafe! We sat outside on their cozy patio with the sun shining and a light ocean breeze — the perfect coastal setting.

I had the clam chowder and tuna sandwich, and both were absolutely delicious. The chowder was creamy and packed with flavor (one of the best I’ve had on the coast!), and the tuna sandwich was fresh, well-seasoned, and served on soft, homemade bread with crisp veggies. I also ordered Earl Grey tea, which was warm and comforting — a lovely touch to round out the meal.

The service was kind and attentive, and the overall vibe was peaceful and welcoming. You can tell they take pride in what they serve.

Highly recommend this spot whether you're passing through or spending the day at Nye Beach. We'll definitely be back next time we're in Newport!"

"We where really looking forward to our visit after reading thr reviews.
Sadly we had a poor experience, from not being greeted, to seating ourselves and getting menus after 8min just sitting. The gentleman waiter made several eye rolls after our friend repeated herself because he wasn't listening to her order. My husband ordered a 3 stack blueberry pancakes an I got a waffle. An 2 traditional breakfast 1 OE an 1 OM. She brought strawberry an when we said no blueberries where ordered she says oh you want blueberries now, no we ordered blueberries so you don't want strawberry anymore, no we never ordered strawberry. He finally got 2 ate them waited another 8min for the 3rd.
My waffle was cold that if wouldn't melt butter. An both eggs where OH no runny yoke at all. The coffee was awesome but never got a refill. It was an overall poor experience 😢 sadly."

"From the moment we walked in, it was clear this restaurant is something special. The staff and ownership went above and beyond to make us feel welcome. The owner himself took the time to talk with our kids, my mom, and my wife, sharing the history of the restaurant and his vision for it. That personal touch — combined with genuine warmth — made the visit memorable before we even tasted the food.

And the food… absolutely phenomenal. My wife and I both had the tuna sandwich — hers on their homemade gluten-free sourdough, mine on their regular homemade sourdough. Both were outstanding, but the gluten-free version was hands-down the best we’ve ever tasted. The clam chowder was the best I’ve ever had — rich, flavorful, and perfectly balanced. Every dish we saw, from salads to soups, was clearly made from scratch with fresh ingredients and care.

They truly left no stone unturned, from accommodating dietary needs to making sure every detail of the meal was perfect. If you’re looking for not just a meal, but an experience that makes you feel like family while serving you food you’ll be thinking about for days, this is the place."
