Reviews Summary
LOS TACOS No.1 is widely praised for its authentic and delicious Mexican street food, particularly its tacos, which many consider the best in NYC. While the wait can be long, the fast and friendly service makes it worthwhile. Some find the tacos slightly pricey for the portion size, but the exceptional quality of the ingredients and flavors consistently wins over diners, with unique salsa options adding to the appeal.
"There’s almost always a line, but it’s absolutely worth the wait. These are some of the best tacos near Times Square! The service is fast and efficient, and the food is top-notch. They use corn tortillas, and if you’re new to tacos, the grilled chicken is a great place to start—super flavorful. The adobada is also a standout, with generous portions of protein. Highly recommend!"

"If you want the whole experience, you must try this place in NYC. The food is GREAT, one of the very best tacos I’ve ever had. The whole vibe of the store is worthy, the service was amazing so friendly, professional, and quick. We tried almost all the meat options on the menu and all are delicious. But the grilled chicken stands out the most. The hot salsa they use is very spicy so be careful! The prices seem expensive ($6 for one taco) but it is totally worth it. There’s always a line but it moves quickly so don’t hesitate to wait."

"Best tacos in NYC near Times Square. There‘s usually a line out front, but it moves quickly and is absolutely worth the wait. The staff are super friendly, and the tacos taste amazing! When you want to get your taco, keep in mind you‘ll need to choose your type of tortilla (corn or flour) and sauces you prefer.
Highly recommend!"

Best Food in New York Right Now
My friend Ryan, to whom I owe so much for his knowledge of New York City dining, as well as his company at so many of my favourite meals over the years, once told me that the move at Los Tacos was chicken and pork on corn; beef on flour tortilla, always. I’ve never done anything different and I never don’t visit Los Tacos when I’m in the city – it grounds me and comforts me as it has since I first visited, daunted by the trip that then lay ahead of me, in 2017. 75 9th Ave, New York, NY 10011

10 Must-Eat Restaurants In NYC: New York City Food Guide
After graduating from University in the United States, in 2009 I decided to travel to Southeast Asia, and I never moved back. And as much as I love Thai food, one of the only main cuisines I really miss living in Bangkok is Mexican food. It’s not the Tex-Mex type of food that I miss, but it’s the real proper tacos where you can taste the meat, the smokiness, and the fiery dry chilies in the salsa.
