Reviews Summary
This no-frills Trinidadian eatery is celebrated for its authentic and delicious doubles, often hailed as the best in Brooklyn. While many praise the flavorful and affordable food, particularly the doubles and bakes, some patrons mention inconsistent seasoning and a need for improved customer service, with staff sometimes perceived as having an attitude.
"The best doubles I’ve ever had! I’ve heard good things about this place and they lived up to the hype. I got the shrimp doubles that were delicious but the veggie with pumpkin was OMG! My only regret was not getting extras to go. I’ll be back!"

"No frills place that had some really solid doubles. Delicious and filling! I challenge you to find a more flavorful deal -2 hefty doubles for $5 (or $2.50 each). The service and decor are about what you'd expect for a neighborhood Caribbean place (maybe a little friendlier than average?)."

"First and last time in this establishment! I came here after a meeting at my daughter’s school tonight. I hadn’t eaten all day, and my daughter was hungry as well. I ordered curry shrimp, potato and rice for her…and oxtail, rice and channa for myself. I spent $35 sat down and began to eat. I recognized I didn’t like the flavor or the texture of the oxtail I closed the plate up and walked over to the cashier to let her know that I didn’t like the food and would like to get something else instead. I explained I barely touched the food. The cashier had this stunned look on her face, and I turned around and saw an Indian man asked if he was the owner and he said yes…I then explained to him that I didn’t like the food and would like to get something else instead. And he too had this look as if no one ever was disappointed with their food before! But said nothing! So I asked does that mean you can’t do anything about it, and he said basically! I asked for his name and he said “Owner” was his name! I have never experienced such poor customer service in my life! I made it my business to also leave the uneaten plate of food!"
