"Honestly, I was not the biggest fan of the po’ boy. It was very mediocre. The bread tasted cheap and not toasted. The lettuce tasted like it came from a grocery store shredded lettuce bag. The shrimp was decent but overall I was not impressed with this place. There was a short 10-15 minute wait and not enough tables or seats to accommodate everyone visiting. The workers were very nice so I feel kinda bad about my rating but maybe with some quality changes the po’ boy can at least improve."

"Sadly overhyped and underwhelming. Got the shrimp ($12) and catfish ($11.50). The bread was bland and stale, and the flavor of the shrimp and catfish were...meh. The service was great though. Also a "small" is a typical medium-sized sub, so it's plenty of food. But overall not worth the drive especially given how highly rated it is. We were disappointed."

She taught me by taking me to Domilise's on my first trip here in 2010. So for sentimental reasons, this is my answer. I probably like the shrimp at Zimmer's as my absolute fave as far as quality goes, or maybe the roast beef at R & O's. They both use Gendusa bread, which I love.
