Monday through Thursday from 2pm-7pm in the Courtyard and Roost Bar, Fridays from 9am-7pm in the Courtyard and Roost Bar, and Fridays from 9am-2pm in the Main Dining Room, treat yourself to half off bottles of champagne.

Visitors can pop into boutique shops, voodoo stores, art galleries, iconic restaurants like Brennan’s, be entertained by street performers, admire the architecture and wrought iron balconies, and even visit inside the historic Gallier House. You might also notice Cafe Beignet on Royal Street which some say has better beignets than Cafe du Monde. You’ll have to compare and decide for yourself. As for me, it was a toss-up.

Most of them also offer an indulgent jazz brunch on weekends, with live music — I recommend the Court of Two Sisters, which has a staggeringly huge buffet.

Over - Palace Cafe, any Wolfes place, the Vizard place du jour, pretty much all Brennans affiliated places outside of Mr. Bs and Commanders (although commanders borders on being OVERrated, just because of how much it gets hyped), most "Creole" Italian places.

A high-end spot with a garden full of turtles, known for its knowledgeable sommelier, and a favorite brunch spot of Nicholas Cage. Amazing restaurant all around. We sat at the bar for brunch.

Proprietor Owen Brennan actually created the iconic dessert at the restaurant in the 1950s and named it after his friend, Richard Foster.

First created by Paul Blangé at Brennan’s in the early 1950’s, you’ll find this decadent dessert on many menus across New Orleans.

While she didn’t get to enjoy a beignet, Brennan’s banana fosters was a huge hit and we were able to get in twice during our trip.
