With so much going on in the small town, it’s no wonder American Queen Voyages honed in on the destination for extended ports of call during the holiday season, when Natchez turns into a festive wonderland, with a joyful spirit reminiscent of the European Christmas markets. In a month-long celebration, a 30-something-foot tree becomes the town's centerpiece, with events like caroling and concerts.

By the time we got to The Little Easy after a morning spent in Natchez, we’d already received recommendations from five or so different locals to try: the jerk waffle and chicken, the BLT, the brisket sandwich, and the salmon salad—“You’ve just got to try the salmon salad!. ” Driving up to the highly-anticipated new eatery—which is helmed by the husband-and-wife duo Ashley Allen and Sarah Sookraj and occupying the same building that once housed Steampunk Coffee—we were greeted by a pair of older women standing out front, brightly-colored cocktails in hand; and whatever they were talking about, well it sounded fascinating. It was two in the afternoon, on a Thursday—the weekend was practically here.

Director Tate Taylor (of The Help) decided to awaken Natchez’s small-town potential. He launched the Little Easy—a cafe named for this small-town cousin to New Orleans. Housed in a historic cabin just feet from the bluff atop the Mississippi River, the restaurant serves “boozy brunch, sun up to sun down,” with elegant takes on breakfast classics.

Start off your visit to the Bluff City with brunch at the Little Easy, close to the river, where you can sit outside and enjoy the feel of the town. For lunch, head “under the hill” along the banks of the river to the Camp, offering stunning views of the Mississippi River and a huge menu offering gourmet sandwiches, tacos and salads.

The Little Easy café, located just a block from Bluff Park on High Street in an area known as the "Gateway of the Mississippi Blues Trail," serves up signature Boozy Brunch items, delicious sandwiches and salads, signature cocktails and more, all in a cozy, inviting atmosphere.

Stop by The Little Easy for a hearty breakfast to kick-start your second day in Natchez. Located in a quaint building, the eatery is known for its “Boozy Brunch” dishes, including the Stump Jumper, Berry Good Ricotta Toast, and avocado toast.

Another of Charboneau’s favorites is the new Little Easy Cafe in Natchez. Several business executives from the area told The Meandering Traveler that this new eatery at 114 High Street is a definite hit.
