We opted to sit inside, but like most restaurants in Natchez, Fat Mama’s also has patio seating.

Please note, that while the rules may be a little different in Natchez, you are not, in fact, allowed to take this drink’s name literally. So no matter how many you have, please remember this is not sophomore year spring break in Cabo.

We tried her Gringo Pie, which is something well-known in these parts of the South in Alabama and Mississippi. It’s a heaping bowl of tamales covered in chile and sprinkled with cheddar cheese and jalapenos. We also got their sweet and spicy “fire and ice” pickles, which were a bit sweeter than spicy, though they were good.

We stopped in Fat Mama’s Tamales because we were intrigued by the Knock You Naked Margaritas. We had already eaten lunch and had dinner reservations, so we didn’t get tamales, just margs and chips. The salsa was great tho.
