Reviews Summary

Diners praise Epice for its authentic Lebanese flavors, perfectly spiced dishes, and chic, intimate ambiance. The attentive service and unique offerings like Beyrouti Tacos are often highlighted. However, some find the portions small and the prices high, with one reviewer suggesting better value elsewhere. Despite these criticisms, many consider it a must-visit for a refined Mediterranean experience.

"We had a great dining experience here. The food was Lebanese classic with a unique take. That flavors and combinations were just perfect. I had the lamb rack with pistachio crust and it was cooked perfectly. The side complimented the flavors very nicely. All of the dishes were so well thought out and tasted fantastic. We topped off our dinner with the orange blossom rice pudding and it was incredible. Literally no complaints. Our waitress was also VERY nice and helpful."

"My good friends were in town and we wanted to take them somewhere nice for lunch. We live an hour and a half east so we didn’t know that we should have made reservations. We walked in on a very busy Sunday afternoon. The guy up front was so friendly. He made magic happen and we were able to get a table for the 4 of us. The food was amazing. Our server was great. Drinks were delicious. I really appreciate the experience and we will be back, more prepared next time!"

Mariana Kvalvik

"Great service and environment! But the food was definitely overpriced and I’ve had better Lebanese food. Honestly I wouldn’t go back. You’re better off going to an authentic middle eastern place in Nolansville."

32 Best Restaurants In Nashville For Every Type Of Meal

Tucked away among the throngs of tourists strolling 12South’s central corridor on any day of the week, Epice feels like being transported to a cozy bistro in the heart of the Mediterranean that’s a secret among locals. The dishes that result from the Lebanese restaurant’s emphasis on ingredients native to the region—think: chickpeas, tahini, parsley, grape leaves—are designed to be crowd-pleasers. Start with the mezze menu where you can never go wrong with the tabouleh or Al Raheb (eggplant dip), then continue onto the mains where you’ll find skewers, roasted chicken, grilled veggies, and lamb meatballs mingling with tomato ragout, olives, and pine nuts.

Epice is a Lebanese bistro in 12South — the sophisticated sibling to the popular Mediterranean micro-chain Kalamata's. Two soups are available on the regular menu, but the adas be-silik, a vegan soup of lemony vegetable broth with lentils and Swiss chard, stands out as truly delicious and unique. Because of the brightness of the lemon, the soup is delicious lukewarm during the summer or steaming hot during colder months.
