Reviews Summary
Dozen Bakery is celebrated for its exceptional artisanal breads, pastries, and unique breakfast and lunch offerings. Diners rave about the quality and taste of the baked goods, particularly the sourdough, croissants, and pies. While the atmosphere and friendly service are often praised, some patrons have noted occasional grumpiness from staff during busy periods.
"We pulled up and were wondering why it was next the train tracks but we were so glad we stepped inside! Great atmosphere and such yummy pastries, pies, and lots of sourdough breads! If you’re a coffee drinker they have some awesome baristas who make pretty drinks. They also offer hot breakfast sandwiches/food. My one complaint is one of the workers was a little cranky and short with us when we asked for the last display pastry. Everyone else was really nice and helpful. When we are in Nashville we will definitely come back! The almond croissant was really good, and the pecan bars we heavenly! Try the lemon lavender pie too."

"I've been on a quest for the best french baguettes in town, since living in France. Dozen, you win. Chewy crust, big airy holes in middle. Pain au chocolate and gazpacho, also perfect. Thank you!"

"I am so happy that Dozen Bakery has relocated to this new location! There is so much more space inside and outside - and there’s more options for parking! The food is as incredible as it always is. I highly recommend the eggs on a French baguette or one of the other pastries that are made fresh every day! The coffee is good, but definitely more on the bitter side, but those who prefer it that way will love it! It’s very crowded during the weekends but manageable during the week days. I picked up a loaf of bread on a Thursday morning and was in and out within 5 minutes! Don’t miss this Nashville staple!"

The 11 Best Bakeries In Nashville - Nashville
Walk into most coffee shops throughout Nashville and ask if they make their pastries. The answer will often be, “No, we get them from Dozen.” There’s a reason this shop has a baked good monopoly around here, and that reason is an expertise involving things like lemon bar croissants or calabrian chili and garlic focaccia. The sparkly new location in Berry Hill has plenty of space to hang out with your laptop or brunch with friends, and though you can expect a line pretty much any time of day, it moves quickly, so you won’t have to wait long for that slice of pie.
