Reviews Summary

Chauhan Ale and Masala House is celebrated for its inventive Indian fusion cuisine and vibrant atmosphere, with many praising the unique appetizers and attentive service. However, some diners have found certain dishes to lack expected spice or flavor, and one review mentioned an unpleasant encounter with management.

"Went here on a whim for dinner, with one other, what an Indian restaurant! The atmosphere, the food even the samandhi flowers decor, draperies and the old style pump faucets and gold painted brick walls in the restrooms reminded me of home. The service was impeccable. The food was just the right portions and perfectly seasoned. Just delish! Whoever thinks of making gulab jamun cheese cake! It was quite a blend. Or whipped paneer, so light and fluffy with boondi topping. This place is perfect for a date night!"

Ria Isa

"This is going to be my permanent place whenever I am in Nashville. Amazing food, service and atmosphere.

Was there earlier this year and was amazed but didn’t really got pictures to share. This time decided to go and get some glimpses.

Try their unique appetizers and drinks. The regular entrees are good too but the appetizers are my most favorite. The best part is they keep makings it seasonal which is a brilliant idea."

Deepak Khopade

"My family is from NY. Home to some of the world's best Indian food. Chauhan is our favorite Indian food restaurant in Nashville and can compete with any of the best restaurants back home in NY. The food is amazing. The drinks are great. The staff is super friendly. We have visited twice and each time the place was very busy. Therefore a reservation is highly recommended."

Eat Up: The Best Restaurants in Nashville, According to Me

I particularly love it for lunch, a time of day when I feel like Nashville dining options aren’t abundant. The lunch items may be heavy, but man is that meat-and-three worth it (though I often oscillate between the thali and the chicken tikka masala—both are oh so good).
