Reviews Summary
Kenzo offers a highly acclaimed Japanese dining experience, particularly praised for its impeccable service, calm ambiance, and the artistry of its multi-course Kaiseki menus. While many rave about the gastronomic journey and attention to detail, some diners have found the food itself to be underwhelming or inconsistently seasoned, falling short of expectations for a Michelin-starred establishment.
"There’s a reason Kenzo is a Michelin one star.
From the moment I arrived, I was greeted by one of the staff members who took my photo outside.
Once you walk inside, you feel like you’re transported to Japan. The servers are all dressed in suit and tie. Jazz music plays in the background.
I had the pleasure of sitting at the sushi bar to watch the chefs create their dishes. It was awesome chatting with both of the chefs. One of them gave me restaurant recommendations for Tokyo. The other showed how wasabi is created.
Not only are the chefs making the dishes but they pay attention to the guests. The attention to detail at this restaurant is phenomenal.
All 9-courses of the Kaiseki menu were delicious. I especially enjoyed Adrian (my server), who explained the meaning behind each dish.
It was an incredible two and half hour dining experience. I look forward to coming back."

"Went to celebrate my bday. Love the well designed menu. Everything was tasty and some didn’t show from the picture but seaweed broth/soup that aged 1.5 years(one of the best I’ve ever had) or the texture of handmade tofu.
Chef and servers are so patient and very welcoming. Will recommend to others."

"Visited Kenzo a month ago with a few friends during our trip to Napa Valley, and it was truly a highlight of the entire journey. From the moment we arrived, we were warmly welcomed by the staff and, to our surprise, escorted to a private dining room - without even requesting it. This unexpected gesture immediately elevated the experience, adding a sense of exclusivity and care that stayed with us throughout the evening.
The multi-course tasting menu was masterfully curated, and each dish was paired with wine selections that complemented the flavors with precision, like an elegant orchestral performance where each note had its place! Every course flowed seamlessly into the next, creating a balanced and immersive culinary experience that felt both refined and intimate.
Unfortunately our schedule didn’t allow time to visit the Kenzo Estate, but after such an exceptional dining experience, we’re already planning our return trip with a vineyard visit at the top of our list!"
