Reviews Summary

Victor's 1959 Cafe is celebrated for its incredible Cuban food and fun, vibrant atmosphere, with many highlighting the unique graffiti-covered walls. Diners rave about dishes like the Cuban sandwich and Cuban hash, though some note potential wait times due to its small size. The friendly staff and generous portions contribute to an overall positive and memorable dining experience.

"Pretty cute little place with quite a line when I went. The french toast was good and sizable. The omelet was alright, really liked the plantain. The cuban sandwich was very flavorful. Really filling and tasty lunch overall. Plenty of vegetarian options."

Daniel B

"Immaculate vibes paired with delicious food. I’ve heard about Victor’s over the years and finally check it out, being one of the first nice Sunday mornings of the season, the wait was maybe 30+ minutes long, but well worth it.

Inside and out, the atmosphere stayed in step with the vibrant cuisine, truly feeling like a trip back in time. We stuck to coffee this morning but all around us guests were sipping on refreshing and colorful looking cocktails.

For brunch, I had the lechón asado (pictured here), and my buddy had the chicken and Spanish chorizo paella. They were both delicious, filling, and well worth the price point. Lastly, the service was prompt and genuine. Really enjoyed my experience and will most definitely be coming back for more!"

Nehemiah Beckstrand

"I'm obsessed with this place. The food is insanely good and the wait staff are some of the most beautiful and capable people I've ever seen. They handle rush times so well it's like magic. And the coffee is so awesome. I love it here.

PS if any review complains about wait times or the staff, you should ignore them. the restaurant is wicked small and the wait staff do their absolute best to keep things running smoothly and efficiently."

Nearly every surface inside Victor’s 1959 Cafe is covered with layers of signatures and doodles left by previous diners—bring a Sharpie to add your contribution (it’s more likely to stand the test of time if you can reach the ceiling). This is the sort of spot you’ll be coming back to over the years. Not just because you want to show off your scribbled, magnum-opus autograph to your friends, but because the food is genuinely great.

Victor's 1959 Cafe inspires a menu allegiance that can be hard to break, but this Cuban-ish breakfast sandwich makes branching out worth it. Part of what sets Cuban sandwiches apart is the bread. Plush on the inside with a wonderfully crackly crust that is pressed before serving, it's an excellent vehicle for the egg sandwich.
