Downtown nights at Red Rabbit 🦪🍝✨ Started with oysters + calamari, then dove into the pasta (so good) … but the real star? The sticky toffee cake 🤯 hands down the best dessert I’ve ever had. Already dreaming about going back. #MinneapolisEats #RedRabbit @redrabbitmn

Reviews Summary

Red Rabbit Minneapolis is praised for its vibrant atmosphere and delicious Italian fare, particularly its pizzas and pastas. Diners often highlight the friendly service and unique cocktail offerings. However, some reviews mention slow service during peak times and a desire for more memorable flavor profiles in certain dishes.

"Went in with a group of 4 on a sunday morning for brunch and everything was fantastic! We didn't have any wait time for a table. The croque madam was huge and so savory and decadent. The breakfast pizza is a must and can definitely be shared between 2 people. My friend enjoyed his shrimp and grits, he also got the bottomless mimosas and the staff were on top of refilling his glass. Ill definitely be back again for brunch!"

Willow

"There truly is significance in simplicity.

My husband and I visited Saturday evening for dinner, we found street parking about a block away and were seated inside right away.
Our server was very sweet and didn’t take too long in between check ins.

The restaurant itself has great sources of natural light and tons of seating. However my only complaint is that there should be more than two bathroom stalls, it was very inconvenient to say the least.

The food was delicious. Honestly, left me wanting more, especially the pesto genovese. The garlic bread cheese curds were definitely 10x better than regular cheese curds and the sunset sangria was also very delicious.

This location is definitely somewhere we can see ourselves visiting again."

Markeda D.

"I feel this place could be 5 stars and maybe I just tried the wrong food. It had an excellent atmosphere and amazing service! They had a great 1/2 sandwich and salad lunch deal. I got to try their cheesesteak and grinder sandwich which were both tasty but missing a little something. The salads were the best part! Next time I’m going to try their pizza because I’m sure that’s where the magic is at."

Best Pizza in Minneapolis & St. Paul: Good Twin Cities Pizza Places

2016 | North Loop & St. PaulRustic-chic concept follows in burger brother’s footstepsA few years back, restaurateur Luke Shimp gave his wildly successful Red Cow burger enterprise an Italian sibling -- Red Rabbit. Once the North Loop location took off, Rabbit opened a second location on St. Paul’s Grand Avenue in 2018. Everything on the menu is amazing, but the Spicy Salami pizza is probably the most-ordered pie, with chilis, ricotta, and honey.

Where to Find the Best Pizza in Minneapolis-St. Paul

With several Minneapolis locations and a special Palace Theater partnership in St. Paul, Wrecktangle has been very busy perfecting Detroit-style pizzas over the past few years. They even won Good Morning America's “Best Pizza in the U.S.” competition in early 2023, beating out popular spots from Philadelphia, New York, Atlanta and Chicago. One of their most popular pies is the Shredder, topped with pepperoni, pickled jalapeño, whipped Cry Baby Craig’s honey, and pecorino romano cheese.

Twin Cities Takeout: Pandemic Edition

Red Rabbit makes some of my favorite pizza in the Twin Cities—the chewy Neapolitan-style crust is perfection, and the toppings are thoughtful and high-quality. The menu features pizzas, pastas, sandwiches, salads, cocktail kits, and take-and-bake family-style entrees. We thoroughly enjoyed our pizzas: a cheese pizza with a nice balance of mozzarella, fontina, and Parmesan, and a sausage pizza featuring a zesty housemade sausage, charred scallions, and fennel pollen.

With a menu packed full of delicious Italian classics like Chicken Parmesan, pappardelle bolognese, and fettucine alfredo, it’s not all that surprising that Red Rabbit rocks some of the best pizza in the cities. What is surprising is the types of pizzas that stand out in this otherwise classic menu. We’re huge fans of the PBJ pizza (that’s pineapple, bacon, and jalapeno) and breakfast pizza (topped with a runny egg, because why not?)
