"Food was great. Although the steak was cooked more med well than mid rare it was still very flavorful. I would cut back on the green peppercorns. They're a little overpowering. The pork ribs were very good. They had a nice crunch on the outside, but a little overcooked. Everything was seasoned well. The lemonade was delicious. I will be returning. Need to add bangers and mash to the menu. ;) overall good experience."

"Reservations recommended!! We didn't know this is a hopping neighborhood spot and came in on a Monday evening without this knowledge. Luckily we scored a table without a reservation but it was by the door (very cold and loud). Food was tasty and good but not anything to rush back to enjoy or bring new friends. I enjoyed the pickle chips and the NA cider. Others with me enjoyed their food and had no complaints."

"We were pleased with our first visit at George and the Dragon! Everything was fresh and made from scratch, it tasted like good home cooking. Prices were reasonable, too."

4 restaurants that should be on your radar
The restaurant’s name may at first sound like the title of a novel that you’d read to your worldly son, but the fun doesn’t end there. Their not-too-serious takes on British pub food — dubbed “family recipes” — draws crowds to this Lynnhurst eatery most nights of the week. On a recent Saturday, I came in search of judiciously prepared fish and chips ($17) and marveled at the thin batter, the perfect fries and that homemade tartar.

Best onion rings in town? : Minneapolis
That's gone but apparently Taberna has the recipe and makes them. I haven't tried them, and I'm a little skeptical because I think what made Porky's so good was the frying oil making chicken alongside the onion rings all day, but it's a promising lead.
