Best bakery in Miami (not including south/gables area) for sweets and pastries is 100% true loaf in sunset harbour. If you need a standout dinner party dessert, get their basque cheesecake (I’d say it serves 10). Their canales are delicious and I dream about them when I’m away from Miami 😅😭… I do NOT recommend their breads… they’re not awful, but compared to Love Loaf (north beach), they’re just n...

Reviews Summary

True Loaf Bakery is celebrated for its exceptional, flaky pastries, particularly its croissants, and artisan breads, offering a taste of Parisian quality in Miami. While the quality of baked goods is consistently praised, some diners note that service can sometimes be less attentive. High prices, especially for smaller items, are occasionally mentioned as a drawback.

"We biked all the way to this location yesterday, sat outside, was pleasantly surprised with the baked good, the small brie and turkey sandwish was perfect just the right size, the kouign Amann was fresh and delicious , everything we tried was good. The bonus for me was the coffee, I had a cappuccino and I was surprised how good it was.
After few days trying "highly recommended" places that end up being a bit of tourist traps due to their locations, it was refreshing to find this place"

Walid Saleh

"The croissant was so good! And the cappuccino! Overall the price is fair but that mini baguette prosciutto chess sandwich shocked with about $12 price… though my friend found it really delicious."

Hanna Frolova

"This bakery has amazing bread that we always make sure to come for out of our way. But as we purchased their cheesecake that cost (60$!) for a small cake - this is a bit much. But when we realized it wasn’t even baked inside - literally the cake was like yogurt inside - not what a cheesecake cake supposed to be. Not for 60$. The outside parts that were cooked - were good. And the kids ate cake anyway - but if you put such a price on your tiny cake make sure it’s good! O m disappointed"

Owner Tomas Strulovic was in his 30s and working on a lucrative career in finance when he decided to drop the comfort of the high life for overnight baking shifts. Though things were shaky at first, Strulovic quickly hit his stride and today remains the city's leading purveyor of everything from sourdough loaves ($9.60) to croissants ($4.28 to $5.35) to cookies ($3.21 to $4.28) to ciabatta loaves ($3.21).
