Reviews Summary

Big Pink is a beloved Miami Beach institution offering enormous portions of American comfort food in a vibrant, retro setting. Diners praise the generous servings and the fun, lively atmosphere, especially its late-night hours. While generally well-received for its value and broad menu, some find the food overly salty or the prices slightly high for breakfast.

"We were looking for a restaurant open late that served good looking desserts & drinks, and boy did we stumble upon the PERFECT place! Our server John made our evening, with perfect recommendations, we left very satisfied and happy to have interacted with him. We were so excited to see him again when we came in again for breakfast the next morning! We will be coming back here on our next trip, without question. 10/10 service from John, and delicious yet affordable foods!"

Maria Johnson

"Easy walk from south beach. They give big servings of food which matches the prices ($80 to over $100 for two people with drinks)

The service is good, the drinks are strong and you will have leftovers.
I would go back and try other options than what I got the two times I went."

Jeanea

"This restaurant has been around for as long as I can remember. It is a staple of Miami Beach, and a throwback to older days. It’s so nice that it’s still exists and offers great food at affordable prices (for Miami Beach standards.) So when my friend suggested this place, I jumped at the chance because I hadn’t been in such a long time. It was an easy walk from where we parked, and it was a nice place to go after beach day. It is a diner feel and the menu reflects that. they even do “TV dinners” specials. I ordered the chicken Parmesan sub, and it came with house chips. The portion was enormous, and the meal was delicious. I loved the house chips. They were super fresh. On a side note, I also ordered a soda, it came as can soda, which is fine but, it was the most expensive soda I have paid for. Honestly, for that price I would’ve gone with a beer. But other than that, it’s a great place to enjoy a casual meal. The ambience is cute and the service was adequate."

A Guide To Late-Night Eating In Miami

At Big Pink, pink is taken very seriously: the two-story building is painted a bright pink, tabletops are a translucent neon pink, and even the inside is bathed in perpetual pink light. The restaurant is planted on a corner off Collins Avenue not too far from a number of South Beach late-night hangouts – which is why it’s permanently slammed. But that’s okay: it’s 4am, after all, and you’re here for enormous portions of American comfort food.

Goldsmith, an honors graduate of the Culinary Institute of America's first Baking & Pastry Arts class, is also in charge of the desserts at the other two restaurants in Myles Chefetz's one-square-block South Beach eats empire, upscale New American Nemo and all-American diner Big Pink, and at each of the three very different eateries, the sweets flawlessly suit the mood. Nemo regulars would riot if Goldsmith's warm chocolate pudding cake in a rich sweet cream puddle were ever removed from the menu. Big Pink people would sooner allow ya to step on their blue suede shoes than to leave the table without a big chunk of Elvis's favorite red velvet cake -- here even more heavenly than in The King's current place of residence.
