Music fans should head to the new Old Dominick Distillery Downtown. The venue has launched a new listening room concept, with its Pure Memphis Music live series set to launch January 25. All of the artists who play at the venue as part of the regular series will be connected to Memphis in some way, either by being born here or by trekking here to make a record, so it’s got the makings of the perfect Memphis- and music-themed date night spot.

The Gray Canary — Andy and Michael's newest of the six restaurants they've launched — sits inside Old Dominick Distillery, so if you look around and decide the setting interests you while you're eating there, consider coming back tomorrow to take the 45-minute tour of the grain-to-glass spirit-making facility. Old Dominick opened in 2017 and started aging barrels of locally made whiskey at the distillery for the first time in Memphis in 100 years. If you've still got some post-flight, post-dinner energy left, make your way over to one of the most famous streets in the world.

If you have champagne taste, you can get a deal at Old Dominick’s infamous Pure Memphis Cocktail Hours Thursday – 2-7pm, Friday – 2-8pm, Saturday – 2-8pm, Sunday – 12pm-5pm. For a more budget-friendly option, check out the Flying Saucer Draught Emporium’s self-proclaimed “Best Happy Hour in Memphis.” Happy Hour is from 4-7 pm Tuesday through Friday and features $4 draft beers. Although the Dominick is only a few years old and already one of the best Memphis Bars, its heritage goes back to the 1860’s and its founder, an Italian immigrant, Domenico Canale. In 1866, he began producing whiskey under the name Old Dominick.

Proudly serving the only whiskey that’s entirely distilled, barreled, matured, and bottled in Memphis, this distillery offers a great view of the cityscape, bridge and river.
