Isolated from Malibu’s busy shopping centers, this lone standing restaurant on the sandy shores of Westward beach offers some of the best dining views you can have in Malibu, and true to it’s name, especially during sunset. Specializing in seafood, with exquisite dishes like tuna tartar and fresh oysters, it's a place where sophistication meets the shore. The restaurant's ambiance, combined with the restaurants affordability makes it a prime spot for both romantic evenings and memorable gatherings.

I haven't been to this place, but try The Sunset Restaurant. The dinner menu includes a BBQ chicken (called Jidori chicken, which is just a very high-quality, flavorful free range bird, much like Kobe beef is very carefully raised beef), traditional spaghetti Bolognese or skirt steak (with accompanying sauces, but you can certainly request them strictly on the side). The starters are $10 and under and entrees are no more than $20.

The entire front of The Sunset Restaurant opens to Zuma Beach, so no matter where you sit in the restaurant, it's sun and surf as far as the eye can see. The restaurant has the kind of vibe where you'd go for a special occasion, but you also wouldn't feel self-conscious if you put your clothes on over your bathing suit and walked in straight from the beach. Paradise Cove, Dukes, The Sunset Restaurant, Nobu, Geoffrey’s, Malibu Cafe, Malibu Seafood, and others are a significant part of the full Malibu experience. You get some sustenance after a long day at the beach!. While they are quite delicious and iconic, the prices are far too expensive for a typical college budget.
