I really liked QQ Express, Sarku Japan, and most recently I tried the Scrambler from Mickies Dairy bar which was pretty good and a lot of food for 10 bucks. Any other places (other than like fast food) you guys recommend for food like this?

I love a classic diner, andMickie’s Dairy Bar seriously delivers. Open since 1946, little has changed about this place since your grandparent’s day. Think inexpensive staples, like steak and eggs, pancakes, and egg sandwiches.

One of the most popular is Mickie’s Dairy Bar which has been serving up delicious breakfasts since 1946. Their menu features classic diner fare like pancakes, omelets, and breakfast sandwiches, all at affordable prices.

This is a staple if you went to school or grew up in Madison!. It hasn’t changed much since its opening, and they even have the original menu with prices on the wall!. If you have a big appetite, this place is for you!

If you only get one thing off the menu at Mickies, be sure it's the cornmeal pancakes. These savory pancakes hold up well to lots of butter, and consider asking for honey instead of syrup.
