Reviews Summary

Alimentari is praised for its delicious, generously portioned sandwiches and its extensive selection of high-quality Italian specialty items. While the food is a clear highlight, the lack of dine-in seating means most visitors opt for takeout, making it ideal for picnics or enjoying at home. Some reviewers mention that certain sandwiches could be elevated with additional ingredients, but the overall consensus is positive regarding freshness and flavor.

"I’ve heard so many good things about this place, we decided to try! It was amazing! Sandwiches were delicious and I love that they use Madison sourdough bread! Walking into the store felt fresh and clean! I didn’t have a lot of time to look around but the displays were beautiful! Food and ingredients are high quality and the staff was very friendly! So excited to have a sandwich shop like this on the near west side!!"

Sara D

"Definitely the best sandwich I’ve ever had. I just got the plain turkey, but the meat was so flavorful, and you can just tell everything is fresh and homemade. One sandwich is very filling and it was the perfect ratio of meat to toppings and sauce. Would definitely recommend!!"

Faith F

"I was able to find very good guanciale, pecorino, and even authentic spaghetti pasta to make a delicious homemade carbonara that was to die for! The staff are incredibly friendly and helpful! I was even able to find mozzarella di bufala which was amazing! Definitely will be returning many times"
