What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Mama Mia's is praised for its delicious and customizable pizza, with many highlighting the unique atmosphere and the free Mackinac Bridge Museum upstairs as major draws. While the service is often described as friendly and welcoming, some reviews mention a slow wait time and a less-than-ideal undercooked crust or bland flavor on certain pizzas, with a few finding the pricing a bit high for the portion size.
"The pizza here was legit amazing — super fluffy and just hit the spot. Loved that you can pick your own toppings too, and they’ve got some solid veggie options 👌🌱
The vibe inside is really nice, chill and cozy. Only thing is the wait was kind of long, but once the food came out… totally worth it.
Also, those cheese breadsticks? Fire 🔥 Definitely coming back for more."

"I really enjoyed this place. We were greeted at the door but not in a pushy way. When entering the atmosphere was great, there was memorabilia all over the ceiling, some really cool light shades over the booths. There was a large bar area to the left and the kitchen was behind the bar at the back. After choosing what we wanted, we ordered at the bar. Server was very friendly.
While waiting for our food I wondered to the rear of the restaurant where they had some arcade machines, some retro as well! I then had a look at the museum upstairs as well. It is very well done. Lots of memorabilia, newspaper cuttings, a few films playing and a couple of bridge models.
We enjoyed the food, I had a cheese pizza and my wife had the spaghetti."

"Absolute 5 star. People are nice and welcoming. I would highly recommend the plain chicken wings. They have crispy skin and juicy meat. Definitely one of the best wings I’ve ever had in my life here in the states. For photographers and history enthusiasts, the restaurant itself is a good place to explore. It brings me back to the good old days when workers were still endeavoring to build the Mackinac bridge."
