Reviews Summary

Mike Linnig's is a beloved Louisville institution known for its incredibly generous portions of classic fried seafood and Southern comfort foods, served in a unique outdoor, riverside setting. While many praise the generous servings and the classic, no-frills experience, some diners note inconsistent quality, high prices for certain items, and occasional issues with service.

"Food was fried so pretty typical for it. The whole enchiladas is the location!!! Fun friendly lots of parking.
I had the cat fish. The coleslaw was unique because of how finely chopped it was. Great narrator right? The green beens a big and hardy. Overall I would bring friends here."

Greg Henry

"Second time here, and it always seems to be busy and popular. Large outdoor seating and even a playground for the kids. I've got the sampler both times, and it's enough to feed you two or three meals with leftovers. The fish is excellent, but I think next time, I'm just going to order fried shrimp and frog legs as those are my two favorite items here."

Jonathan Tucker

"Friendly service, once you can figure out where and how to order. Food was good. Fish was fresh and nicely done. Hush puppies were too big and very dry. Other appetizers were good. Extra points for very cool outdoor space!"

Since 1925, Mike Linnig’s has been located near Valley Station and the Ohio River Levee Trail, and what started out as a humble roadside vegetable stand soon became one of the most beloved Louisville restaurants for fresh, delicious seafood and classic Southern comfort foods. The property itself has experienced its fair share of floods, fires and wartime closures, but the Linnig family has always revived the restaurant as a beacon for the community.
