Established earlier this year, Gralehaus has already gained a firm following—thanks to its unique focus on beers and breakfast. Gralehaus is a venture from Lori Beck and Tyler Trotter, owners of the popular Holy Grale pub and restaurant next door with which the cozy cafe shares a beer garden. Chef Andy Myers focuses on traditional, regional dishes like lamb sausage and grits with a sunny side up egg alongside inventive crepes like the duck confit with goat’s cheese, orange and pickled pear.

After a morning of shopping, head to lunch at GraleHaus in the Highlands for lunch. Located in an old Victorian home, Adams says, “The atmosphere is cozy and the food is incredible.” Inventive dishes like hoisin blackberry wings, sauerkraut balls, and grilled cheese with onion jam make this a must-try spot. Adams adds, “I love the Kentucky Croque,” a riff on a Croque Madame made with Broadbent ham, taleggio, mornay, cheddar and a sunny egg.

Gralehaus is a hip vibe in the Highlands of Louisville, and a fun brunch location to check out if you can!. I’ve stayed in their Bed & Breakfast before, but you do need to email in advance to check what’s on their menu because it can change quite often. The brewery attached, Holy Grale used to not use peanuts, but over the past few years they have consistently had peanut ingredients in a sauce on the menu, so I’ve avoided going recently.

Grab a bite at any of the local breakfast cafes and brunch spots, like Gralehaus, where you’ll find creative brunch items made from scratch, like biscuit and duck gravy. Build your own omelet or treat yourself to melt-in-your-mouth lemon soufflé pancakes at Toast on Market. At Con Huevos you can feast on Mexican breakfasts made from scratch, like huevos rancheros, a hearty breakfast fit for a busy day of exploration.

GraleHaus – Located in an old home built in the 1900s, GraleHaus has an eccentric, old-world ambiance, a wonderful outdoor space, and one of the best brunches!. Brunch highlights include the ugly fritatta, schroom n’ grits, and the smoked trout board. In addition to delicious brunch food, they serve just about every type of beverage you could want, like a Sorghum Latte or an Iced Jasmine Americano.

Gralehaus is a cool breakfast place to check out if you are into history. The restaurant was built inside of an original Highlands Victorian home from 1905!. The large outdoor seating area gives Gralehaus a similar vibe you'd find in a biergarten where you can enjoy anything on their extensive beverage menu as well as their breakfast and lunch selections.

Gralehaus is the name of a coffee bar located within an old Victorian home that also functions as a bed and breakfast. It is something of an open secret that this hip and hidden restaurant is also a coffee bar. Within this beautiful and rustic space you can get a sit down meal, a quick shot of espresso, or a full brunch including cocktails.

Through the fenced-in gravel beer garden behind the Holy Grale is the back entrance to the Gralehaus, which will eventually add a couple of hotel rooms to the compound and is already cooking breakfast until 4 p.m. Lamb sausage and grits, trout hash, breakfast sandwiches (egg, cheese, country ham, bacon) on biscuits, brioche or pretzel buns.

Look, it will come as a surprise to nobody who knows me that I can be kind of a snob when it comes to anything professing to be European. In my mind, I want the real thing or nothing at all. But the first time I stepped into the newly remodeled Gralehaus (about a week before I headed to Paris for a month-plus) I knew I’d be back and back.

There are other decent coffee shops, like Full Stop, or Gralehaus (only open on weekends now, and their long-time head coffee person now works at Full Stop). Right across from the Quills Firehouse is Butchertown Grocery Bakery, which serves Good Folks coffee. Good Folks is a local roaster with no cafe of their own.

Founded in 2014 and the only one of its kind in Louisville – this pretty patio is the beer garden that separates the Holy Grail (the restaurant), and Gralehaus. I’m kicking off this restaurant roundup with what might be the most charming brunch spot in all of Louisville: Gralehaus. Set inside an early 1900s home in the Original Highlands neighborhood (like so many of the city’s great restaurants), Gralehaus serves excellent brunch fare daily from 9 a.m.

The workers are welcoming and friendly, and ordering food through the QR code is super easy. The vibes inside are cute for pictures and the food is exquisite. The service is excellent, and the garden is too cute, but sitting at the counter and watching the kitchen work is a favorite.

Gralehaus is a hidden gem in the highlands and offers breakfast, craft beers, and coffee. There is no real signage on the front; just their small symbol hanging from the porch. It's easy to miss, but it's definitely worth the extra effort to hunt down this tasty place.

Homemade syrups + the best brunch: Gralehaus — Want a strawberry basil iced latte?. How about a maple walnut?. At the Gralehaus, this brunch spot takes their coffee seriously with artisanal homemade syrups featuring fresh flavors from their outdoor garden.

They’re a cute brunch spot, but can get very busy, so I don’t often find myself going because of the long line. While in town, it’s a fun spot and is even a bed and breakfast!. There’s a bar attached across their property called Holy Grale, as well.

In Louisville, there’s a good spot for beer called Gralehaus in the Highlands. Most of the bourbon distilleries are in Lexington or Frankfort. If you want to take a tour, Mint Julep Tours will take you to all the major distilleries in one run.

This one-of-a-kind bed-and-beverage sits inside a renovated old Victorian off Baxter Avenue. Gralehaus opened nearly a decade ago and has been attracting Louisville locals and visitors ever since. The food is as good as the atmosphere, too.
