"The pizza here is absolutely incredible – authentic New York-style with the perfect crust! The atmosphere is cozy, and the outdoor seating under the lights makes it even better. Definitely my new favorite spot in Long Beach!"

"The place smelled amazing as soon as we walked in. The pepperoni granny slice was burned but the other 2 pizzas we ordered were delicious. I recommend the white pie and the customer service was great. Plenty of areas to sit and cute shops all around."

"Warning: Unacceptable Treatment
I need to put this out there as a warning to anyone considering this place and, frankly, to the owners themselves. Your business lives or dies by how you treat people. Our experience was genuinely shocking. We were still eating our pizzas .. pizzas we'd received maybe fifteen minutes earlier , when this particularly angry staff member started screaming at us, telling us to leave immediately.
This wasn't just rude; it was condescending, intentionally mean-spirited, and just plain obnoxious. The person even bizarrely claimed they had to come in on their day off just to clean our table. That kind of behavior is indicative of someone that is not in the right place or frame of mind.
I don't care how good the food is. If you treat customers like garbage, they won't come back. We put our money where we value both the food and the service, and in this case, the service completely ruined the experience.
Buyer beware: we are absolutely not returning to this place. The way we were treated by that specific employee was horrible."

Opened by the co-owner of Hatchet Hall and the former executive chef at L&E Oyster, Little Coyote in Long Beach feels like a true throwback, the kind of casual pizza place that, as a kid, you begged your mom to stop at after picking up a video from Blockbuster. The pizza itself comes closest to New York-style, with massive slices you can fold in half, crispy thin crust that’s been buttered within an inch of its life, and classic toppings that range from pepperoni to sausage and mushrooms. That said, the white pizza - with spinach, ricotta, and mozzarella - is our favorite pie on the menu.

With their two Long Beach locations, Jonathan Strader and Jack Leahy summon the spirit of East Coast pizza parlors. Their standard round pies have wide, bubbled perimeters, with crusts that crunch and droop in ways that are ideal for folding slices as you eat them. Ingredient combinations lean zaniest with their frequent specials — as in a recent homage to loaded nachos — but the fundamental options succeed in their straightforwardness.
