"Hello Havana. If you love Cuban food, here is a great place to enjoy it in Lexington. It has a very inspired island theme. The bar area is nice but appears to favor island inspired cocktails. The mojito were good but lacked a premium choice on the menu. Now to the star attraction, the food. It was very authentic, and the sweet plantains were awesome. I had the signature bowl, and it was delightful (see pic). Overall the service was good and the staff was friendly. If you are looking for a caribbean food option or just something not quite Mexican food, then here you go."

"Tuesday and Wednesday nights at Hola Havana are always fun. They are also very affordable with the 50% off. empanadas and croquettes as well as half price house margaritas and sangria. You cannot go wrong with either of those drinks, although the mojito is also very good. this is firmly established as one of my favorite restaurants but I've been challenging myself to try new menu items. The Chicken Fricassee is my new winter favorite. The sauce is wonderful, and tomatoes aren't even my thing.
The service is always amazing here. it's true hospitality! If you haven't been, this is one you don't want to miss."

The authentic Cuban eatery Hola Havana opened in late November, with a variety of pork, chicken, beef and vegetarian menu options. Diners can kick off their meals with appetizers that include fried yucca bites and meat, chicken or vegetable empanadas. The menu also features several fresh salad options, including a tropical salad with avocado, mango and orange vinaigrette, and a “Madre Tierra” (Mother Earth) salad with mixed greens, almonds and feta cheese.

I never imagined I would find an amazing authentic Cuban restaurant in Lexington, Kentucky but I certainly did at Hola Havana Cuban Cuisine. I’m a sucker for a good Cuban sandwich and sweet plantains so I was very excited to find it so close to home. I couldn’t pass up the opportunity to top off such a great meal with some chocolate stuffed churros as well.

Hola Havana Cuban Cuisine is owned by Elizabeth Martinez and Antonio Palma, her husband. Martinez was inspired to launch the restaurant because she felt there was a lack of authentic Cuban fare in Lexington. Hola Havana also has Mexican influence from Palma’s side of the family, and the restaurant offers adapted vegetarian versions of Cuban-Latin dishes.

Delicious food, cozy atmosphere, and lots of gluten and dairy free options. I really enjoyed eating here as it was super cozy, and felt like someone's grandma, who's a fantastic cook, made me food. Will definitely be back and recommend to others.
