What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Jean Georges Steakhouse is consistently praised for its exceptional quality steaks, tender and flavorful, and its sleek, elegant ambiance. Diners often highlight the outstanding, attentive service and the decadent side dishes, especially the truffle mac & cheese and bone marrow. While the dining experience is largely flawless, some find the prices to be high, and a few reviews mention minor inconsistencies that prevent a perfect score.
"We had an early dinner here and had a delightful time. The menu is not extensive but has most of what you want at a steakhouse. The steaks were excellent, tender and flavorful and cooked perfectly. The specials provided a vegetarian dish that was perfect and the wine and beer lists were extensive. Service was spot on, attentive without being intrusive. Prices were Vegas steakhouse prices but the meal was worth it. Atmosphere is sleek modern and refined. Lighting was good enough to read the menu and noise level was moderate. Hard to find anything to complain about so we give it a solid four clams on the coveted Five Quahog Rating Scale ( 5 stars on Google)."

"From the moment I walked into Gene George’s Steakhouse, I knew I was in for something special. Even before being seated, I stopped at the bar and instantly felt at home — warm, welcoming, and polished without feeling pretentious.
The location itself is tucked away in a somewhat secluded corner of what I believe is either the Aria or the Crystal Shops next to it (getting there was its own little adventure — I may have gotten a bit lost!). But finding it felt like uncovering a hidden gem, and it was absolutely worth the effort.
Every detail here speaks to the quality of the experience. Even the ice cubes in our drinks had the restaurant’s monogram — a small touch, but one that shows the level of care and thought put into every aspect of service.
The food was phenomenal. Our steaks were perfectly cooked, flavorful, and easily among the best I’ve had in Las Vegas. The seafood platter was another highlight — fresh, generous, and an excellent value for what you get.
From start to finish, the service was exceptional: attentive without being intrusive, knowledgeable, and genuinely committed to making the evening memorable.
If you’re looking for a truly elevated dining experience in Vegas, Gene George’s Steakhouse should be at the top of your list. I can’t recommend it highly enough — just be ready to hunt it down, because this hidden treasure is worth finding.
My only small disappointment? I had ordered the Wagyu rib cap and wanted to take the remainder home, but while I was chatting, it was cleared away before I had a chance to ask for a to-go box. A slight bummer in an otherwise flawless experience."

"Jean Georges Steakhouse delivers exactly what you’d expect from a top-tier Vegas dining experience: sleek ambiance, attentive service, and expertly cooked steaks that melt in your mouth. The setting is moody and elegant—perfect for a special night out—and the service throughout the evening was polished and professional.
The steaks were the highlight: beautifully seared, perfectly seasoned, and cooked exactly to order. Sides like the truffle mac and cheese and roasted mushrooms elevated the meal even further, and the wine list was extensive with some great pairing options.
That said, for the price point and prestige, a few details missed the mark—some courses felt rushed, and one or two dishes didn’t quite live up to the rest. Nothing major, but enough to keep it from being a perfect five-star night.
Still, Jean Georges Steakhouse is absolutely worth a visit if you’re looking for a high-end steakhouse experience with the signature Vegas flair. It’s a place that impresses—but with just a little more consistency, it could be flawless."

In addition to overseeing the menu at Prime, Jean-Georges has his own eponymous steakhouse at the ARIA. With a slightly more casual ambiance but equally fine dining to its Bellagio counterpart, a highlight here is the tableside carvery, which includes a smoked Wagyu brisket, a 42-ounce Wagyu tomahawk, and a 36-ounce porterhouse. If you want some meat with your meat, go for the Japanese Wagyu carpaccio as a starter.

The self-titled steakhouse by Jean-Georges Vongerichten specializes in fine cuts of beef in a sharp, contemporary dining room. Under the day-to-day guidance of executive chef Sean Griffin, the restaurant serves true certified Kobe and F1 Wagyu (blended with Angus), seared lightly for a subtle crust, allowing the natural flavor of the meat to shine. Other cuts are grilled over apricot wood and mesquite.
Reasonably priced seafood/steak restaurant near the strip in Las Vegas?
The Jean Georges Steakhouse in Aria, for example, has a special that includes Zarkana and dinner for $158 as well as a drink at Zarkana. That seems like a decent deal to me. Not cheap but certainly not a bad deal.
Las Vegas celebrity chefs continue to elevate the Strip’s dining scene
One of the world’s most famous chefs and a protégé of Paul Bocuse, Vongerichten had already traveled the world, developed a unique personal style by combining a French foundation with Asian techniques and flavors and cooked in prestigious kitchens from Hong Kong to New York City when he was approached by Steve Wynn about opening a restaurant at Bellagio. Vongerichten agreed and created Prime, the regal lakeside steakhouse that cultivated countless culinary talents through the years including Wylie Dufresne and Kerry Simon. The chef expanded his Vegas presence in 2009 with the sleek and inviting Jean Georges Steakhouse at Aria.

According to head chef Sean Griffin, the restaurant’s Kobe and F1 Wagyu (a cross between Angus and Kobe) cattle are cooked perfectly on a regular basis so that their inherent flavours may show through. According to the recipe, some of the meat is roasted, while others are grilled over apricot and mesquite woods.
The Best Places To Eat and Drink in Las Vegas
With contemporary surroundings and a refined atmosphere, we loved the plush leather seats and dark interiors in Jean Georges Steakhouse inside the Aria Hotel Resort. The menu’s signature dishes include Jean Georges’ Wagyu beef, but I kept it simple and went for the rib-eye, which was seasoned well and melt-in-the-mouth-tenderly rare, just how I asked for it. I really didn’t need to start with the Sushi sampler or order a side of fries and mac & cheese.
