Reviews Summary

CUT by Wolfgang Puck is highly acclaimed for its exceptional steaks and sophisticated dining experience. Guests rave about the quality of the meat, creative cocktails, and attentive service. While most reviews are overwhelmingly positive, a few diners have noted that the ambiance can feel a bit dated, and some have encountered aggressive upselling tactics from staff.

"I have heard a lot about this place before. The food was fantastic!! However the place is a bit old and dated.

The servers were professional and very helpful. I really enjoyed their tomahawk steak!! The artisanal bread, the salads, the Mac & cheese and sides were tasty and delicious.

Overall, I recommend visiting this place for business dinners or friends gathering. You will get great food! However, if you’re looking for great atmosphere, this one is a bit dated and old-fashioned.

I will definitely be coming back!"

"We rarely eat steak out because my husband makes some VERY good meat and OH M G. We were blown away by this meat. Mine felt like it was made directly over the fire with an incredible crust. I typically like some flaky salt with my steak but this needed nothing, it was perfection.
The pork belly was surprisingly good too, the steak tartare was underwhelming. French fries are great if you like them thick and mushy on the inside (my favorite) but for those of you who prefer crispyness these might not hit the spot. We were told the Mac and cheese was the star side dish and it was definitely very good but I wasn't too amazed.

Gotta say we expected a better service considering we had a baby with us, they acted like he wasn't even in the table and we had to ask for water, an extra napkin and plates and cutlery for him, all in different times because they didn't seem to regard his existence. I don't expect gifts (but we do appreciate the kids ice cream serve they usually give us in other restaurants! or the free bread service for the baby) but I do expect servers to acknowledge him as a member of the party and bring him what everyone else is needing for having a proper meal."

"If you're looking for a dining experience in Las Vegas that truly delivers on flavor, sophistication, and service, The CUT by Wolfgang Puck is a must-visit.
From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere felt upscale yet inviting. The service was attentive without being overbearing, and the staff clearly knew the menu inside and out. They suggested things off and on the menu!
Now, let’s talk about the food — absolutely phenomenal. Every dish was a masterclass in bold, savory flavors. The steak was perfectly cooked and seasoned, with a deep, rich flavor that spoke for itself. The sides were anything but an afterthought — the bone marrow flan was a standout, and even something as simple as the mashed potatoes were elevated to something special. From appetizer to dessert everything was done to perfection.
The CUT isn't just about great steaks — it’s about a full sensory experience that leaves you satisfied and impressed. It’s clear they focus on quality ingredients and precise execution.
If you're a fan of savory, flavor-packed cuisine that’s done right, don’t miss The CUT while you’re in Vegas. It’s a bit of a splurge, but well worth every bite."

12 Best Steakhouses in Las Vegas for Showgirl, Mob-Boss, and Retro Vibes

CUT is a quintessential true Vegas steakhouse: a sleek, anachronistic hideaway with a modern metallic design, a silver and white color palette, and mirrored walls, starkly juxtaposing the equally opulent Baroque Palazzo of the Venetian. (It's the second branch of the Wolfgang Puck classic that originated in Beverly Hills.) There are more than 500 wines on the menu that a skilled sommelier will talk you through. And then there's the cut itself: Japanese Wagyu is clearly the star, but there’s also American Wagyu, a petite filet from Tasmania, and several dry-aged steaks, all grilled over a hard wood and charcoal fire and finished in a 1,200-degree broiler, allowing for a crisp, lightly-seared exterior and tender red interior.

Everything to Eat on the Las Vegas Strip in Two Days

Choosing the “best steakhouse” in Vegas is impossible and causes impassioned arguments, but many critics go with Cut by Wolfgang Puck in the Venetian, and it’s hard to disagree. Puck had me with the tableside old fashioned trolley, but for steak fans he covers all the high-end bases, from 35-day dry-aged prime Nebraska ribeye to celebratory tomahawks to domestic, Australian, and Japanese wagyu. There’s also plenty of showpiece seafood, chicken, pork, and lamb, plus a big array of the Pacific Rim-inspired starters Puck is known for: crudo, sushi, sashimi, and tartare.

Everything from the pristine oxtail broth to the bone-marrow flan to the hot potato knishes to the lamb chops with a mint-cucumber raita to the thyme-lavender roasted duck to the classic Dover sole are the equal of the prime grass- and corn-fed beef on offer. In fact, some tables skip the steaks entirely and make a meal from the stunning small plates, appetizers and sides. The wine list, under sommelier Lindsey Whipple, has vastly improved in the past two years, both in selection and price.

The 15 Best Steakhouses In Las Vegas - Las Vegas

Whip out the company card to pay for a stupid expensive meal at Cut. The six-ounce wagyu ribeye is an excellently-marbled piece of beef from Hokkaido and the Australian wagyu tomahawk is buttery, fatty, and a better use of your money than a night at the Four Seasons. If you don’t have a benefactor, the Japanese beef burger is a good deal, since it has the same top-tier wagyu but doesn't cost nearly as much.

10 Best Las Vegas Restaurant Options For Every Taste And Budget

Best Steakhouse: TIE: SW and CUT: Vegas is awash in great steakhouses, and there are lots of good choices, but I love these two for very specific reasons. The signature steakhouse at Wynn uses Steve Wynn’s initials and was the first spot in Vegas and one of the first three in the U.S. to serve real Kobe beef when importation from Japan resumed. Most “kobe” and much “wagyu” in Sin City and elsewhere is still bogus, but SW has the finest slate of both, with several regional Japanese styles, plus great USDA Prime dry aged and Australian steaks, and you can do all sorts of red meat comparative taste tests here you just can’t do in many other places on earth.

Modern Luxury

The Best Restaurants on the Las Vegas Strip

In his thoroughly modern take on the genre, Puck deconstructs classic steakhouse elements and reassembles them in unique ways, often with Asian touches. While that approach is most obvious in dishes like maple-glazed pork belly with cherry mostarda and pumpkin seeds, or a beef carpaccio with truffle hollandaise and shaved truffles, you’ll find similar touches in many unexpected places. And of course, the beef is top notch—from wet- or dry-aged USDA Prime to the Chateau Uenae Private Reserve wagyu.
