Sale Pepe (Lahaina) - If you are after an all round Italian dining in Lahaina then Sale Pepe is the best on the West Side of Maui. Their Pizza is artisanal Italian style with local ingredients & with a homemade charm. There pastas are also incredible with our favorite being the lasagna, you just can’t go wrong here!

Sale Pepe is an excellent choice if you’re in the mood for some Italian cuisine, and their brick-oven pizzas are just excellent. Kimo’s Maui, on the other hand, is a seafood restaurant with a long tradition that boasts a fantastic view of the harbor. Oh, and you must try their Hula Pie!.

Aside from checking out Waicoco, my other restaurant goal for our Maui trip was to finally try Sale Pepe Maui. Hailed as one of the best restaurants in the islands by many of Hawaii’s top chefs, Sale Pepe has long been on my to-try list. And I’m glad we finally got here.

Sale Pepe is a bit off the beaten path in Lahaina but it’s so worth looking for. The food was great, the service was very friendly and they were happy to make any type of pasta our kiddo wanted. They also have fantastic pizza and pasta for the adults in your group.

You wouldn’t think that a tropical island in the middle of the Pacific Ocean would have an exceptional Italian restaurant, but they do. Sale Pepe’s owners hail from New York and Italy, and the couple have ferried their love of Italian food to the shores of Maui.

While the restaurant is still owned by Louis Coulombe, Michele and Qiana Di Bari of nearby Sale Pepe Pizzeria e Cucina have signed on as managing partners. The broad revitalization also includes new furnishings, and the new vibe is palpable.

Sale Pepe serves classic Italian style cooking made with fresh local ingredients. Their motto is one part Milan, one part Brooklyn, all Maui, and I just love that. They’re open Monday through Saturday from 5 pm to 9 pm serving dinner only.

An Italian and New Yorker opened an Italian joint in Hawaii and it is PERFECTION!. We had a few of their pizzas and pasta and can’t wait to come back for more. We ordered 2 pizzas and a pasta dish and got 3 meals out of it for the 2 of us.
