Reviews Summary

Kefi is highly praised for its fantastic Mediterranean cuisine, creative cocktails, and elegant yet cozy atmosphere, making it ideal for romantic dinners or special occasions. While some diners encountered minor service glitches like uncleaned tables or issues with specific dishes, the overall consensus points to exceptional food quality, attentive service from staff like Kate, and a memorable dining experience that warrants return visits.

"HOLY SMOKES GO EAT HERE! My wife and I went here tonight for her birthday and it didn’t disappoint at all. We had cocktail flights, appetizers and entrees that were all delectable! If you can get Kate to serve your table please ask for her! She’s very knowledgeable about the menu and she makes guests feel at home!"

"I visited Kefi last night and had a wonderful experience overall. The food was absolutely fantastic – every dish we tried was full of flavor and expertly prepared. Our waitress was also amazing, providing attentive and friendly service throughout our meal.

We had tried calling ahead a couple of times to let them know we were running a bit late, and no one would answer the phone which was a bit frustrating. However, this didn't take away from the overall experience.

The drinks were also a fun addition to the evening – creative and well-made. While the prices were a bit on the higher side, I would definitely return because of the high-quality food and great ambiance. Highly recommend!"

"Kefi is always amazing. Took myself out for a nice solo dinner. I did not make a reservation, and I immediately sat at the bar, but was offered a table if I wanted it- also immediately available upon arrival. Bartender was amazing and had great suggestions. I did a cocktail flight and then ordered one additional drink towards the end of my meal. Saganaki was both amazing and entertaining, can't go wrong with melty cheese and buttery bread! The grilled octopus was to die for, some of the best I've ever had- charred to perfection, and the lemon sauce on the beans it comes with was perfection. I ordered the sea bass entree, and it melted in my mouth. Not pictured, I was talked into taking the baklava (2 large pieces, perfect for sharing) with pistachio ice cream home, and it was exquisite! Wonderful Grecian atmosphere, super friendly and knowledgeable staff, always one of my favorite places to visit to treat myself. Will definitely be back the next time I need a "me" date!"

A relatively recent addition to the Old City, Kefi has quickly earned a reputation as a great place for a romantic evening out, but that's not why you're here; you're looking for takeout and Kefi has it. The folks at Kefi say they're working to "bring the rich Mediterranean culture to the downtown streets of Knoxville" with their offerings of freshly made Greek favorites. The starters are too hard to choose among, so go for the Pikilia, a sampling of three spreads and a generous portion of housemade pita.

Not far behind is Kefi – a modern Greek restaurant that specialises in cocktails and small sharing plates. I’m fairly particular about the way my cocktails are mixed (many bars make them far too sweet) but Kefi’s were absolutely spectacular. My mother-in-law declared her Old Fashioned to be the best she’d ever had, while I loved the refreshing pineapple and habanero hit of the Midas Touch and the cool, minty Tears of Chios.
