Reviews Summary

Gosh Ethiopian Restaurant is celebrated for its delicious and authentic cuisine, with many highlighting the generous portions and unique dining experience of eating with injera. Diners appreciate the welcoming atmosphere and friendly staff, making it a go-to spot for many. While generally positive, some minor service inconsistencies and concerns about price relative to quantity have been noted.

"10/10!! Ethiopia just moved up on our list of new countries to visit — food is amazing! Welcoming atmosphere, kind service, musical selections just right. Quality all the way around.

Looking forward to returning ♥️"

"We went for my wife's birthday, and it was awesome. The outside appearance is very deceptive and another example of not judging the book by the cover. My only regret was not taking a picture of the meal before it looked like we had lucked the platter clean. Very delightful, even down to the cup of coffee with dessert. I'm not partial to baclava, but this was truly delightful, and I don't typically find coffee that can even be considered consumable without creme, but black was great! The service was just as pleasant as the food."

Jeff Perkins

"Fantastic! I was completely stuffed and already wanted to go back! Phenomenal! My husband and I split the combination platter. Everything was great, but my 2 favorites were the chicken portion and the cabbage portion. My husband’s was the beef and the lentil. We found it interesting that we both ate until we were full, but neither of us felt bad.
The waitress was very informational and fun as well. Very much looking forward to going back!"

Best Restaurants And Diners In Knoxville, Tennessee

Gosh offers something completely different to traditional Southern cooking. An Ethiopian restaurant loved by locals and repeat customers, the spicy cuisine is perfect if you are looking for an evening exploring new cuisine and exciting flavours such as injera flat bread, upon which meats and vegetable dishes are traditionally served in Ethiopian cooking. Everything is freshly cooked at Gosh – the dishes on offer include doro wat – tender chicken sautéed in butter and then stewed in berbere sauce and flavoured with onion, garlic, ginger and Ethiopian herbs – and kitfo, a lean beef dish served with mitmafa hot chili sauce and seasoned butter.
