Another morning, we went downtown to Fish Hopper for breakfast. We all enjoyed meals of steak and eggs, fruit bowls, pancakes, and hash browns. Though our view wasn’t as good as Island Lava Java, we got to see even more dolphins swimming on the horizon.

Fish Hopper — Casual restaurant where I got my first and only pasta this vacation!. I ordered the Pasta Isabella (jumbo scallops, shrimp, clam meat in a rich cream sauce over linguine pasta), and it hit the spot — 10/10 for that dish!

The Fish Hopper is a touristy restaurant on the main drag of Kailua-Kona. We ate here because it had 4 stars on Yelp and knew it would not be great.

They are known for their seafood, ambiance and great service. Whether you go for breakfast, lunch, or dinner, you will not be disappointed.

Huggos (menu), right next door to On the Rocks, offers a more upscale atmosphere. The cocktails are fancy and the live music is divine.

Just a few doors south is Fish Hopper - ground floor, nice view, though right on the street. Good food, somewhat expensive.
