Disclaimer, we may be a little biased with this review because Taqueria Cinco is one of our favorite taco spots in Riverside. Despite it being a bit small for a restaurant, this spot always seems to have a table available, great food and amazing service. Owners Eddy Escriba and Matt Kemper opened up Taqueria Cinco with the goal of creating a space that feels like you are having dinner with family.

Repollitos Taco- Taqueria Cinco is a local favorite and a hidden gem in the Five Points area of Riverside Avondale. Highly recommended is the repollitos taco: Brussel sprouts glazed in a Oaxacan mole, topped with queso fresco, pickled onions and almond salsa all on top of a freshly made corn tortilla. The Green Papaya is as pleasing aesthetically as it is to the palate!

With $5 sangrias and margaritas during happy hour, it’s hard to resist. The Al Pastor is recommended for weekend visits, and the diverse menu ensures there’s always something new to try.

As a gluten free person, it was great to see that corn tortillas were everywhere on the menu. I had a chicken quesadilla and the Al Pastor taco. Everything was delicious 😋 I started with a Classic Margarita and it was meh so the next round I got the Sangrarita which was lovely.
