Upon checkin to our hotel on our first night, the front desk worker tipped us off that reservations for many restaurants in town are needed due to COVID restrictions and are only operating at 50% capacity. Sure, the hostess at Gather — a restaurant on Glenwood Street near Town Square — acts like she’s manning the velvet ropes curtain at Club 54. It’s hard to get into many Jackson Hole restaurants during the height of the summer season and there can be the type of pretentiousness you’d never actually get in New York even when you do have reservations.

We really liked dinner at Gather and Gun Barrel, the burgers at Liberty Burger, breakfast at the Virginian is a must as well as morning coffee at Cowboy Coffee. Skip Cafe Geniveve for breakfast and go to the Virginian or grab a breakfast item at cowboy coffee. We also like Jackson Drug for lunch or dinner.

Gather has the most amazing food for dinner in Jackson Hole, and that is no exaggeration!. You will love this spot, and even better because they offer a lot of options for reserving the space. Their private room seats 28, but they offer other semi-private options for bigger parties.
