Reviews Summary
Thompson and Bleecker is celebrated for its delicious wood-fired pizzas and flavorful pasta dishes, with the Diavola pizza and vodka pasta receiving high praise. The lively atmosphere and attentive service contribute to a positive dining experience. However, some reviews mention inconsistency in food quality, particularly with pasta being overcooked or certain dishes not meeting past standards after relocation.
"My favorite restaurant in Ithaca by far!! I had a first date here and now that’s my bf of one year, so it really does not disappoint;). So far have tried truffle pasta, alla vodka, and the meatballs are so heavenly (RUN don’t walk to order the meatballs if you haven’t tried them yet). Staff were so lovely and attentive, 10/10 service every time. The hot honey pizza is so delicious and one time my boyfriend and I ordered it with pepperoni by accident but they were so understanding of our mistake that they brought us a new vegetarian pizza<3. I need to come back to try everything on the menu and I would love to have my graduation dinner here if I could because it is just that awesome (and a fun and fancy yet laidback vibe inside). Thank you Thompson and Bleecker!!!!"

"the straciatella is genuinely not what it used to be, and i’ve been twice to the new location feeling rather disappointed by this. while the cheese was once incredibly creamy and flavorful, the prosciutto a bright welcoming color, the two times i’ve gotten the ‘new’ straciatella the cheese and prosciutto both have been rather dry—not quite as fresh and milky like before! it feels worse knowing this used to be my favorite dish in all of ithaca, only for it to have disappointed me twice in a row now. the pasta sauce is very creamy and flavorful, but sometimes the pasta itself is overcooked with the noodles falling apart. the best pizza i've had here is definitely the diavola, though one time the bottom was a little too soggy for my liking. i'd say the food is generally tasty, and when it’s done right it is absolutely delicious, but quality control needs a little work as food isn't always consistent."

"Had ordered a tiramisu. Awful taste, the ladyfingers were not soaked in espresso at all. The ladyfingers were totally dry. They used to be so good till last year. The pizza was not good as well. I think the taste has changed after moving to the new location."

Ithaca Restaurants To Keep An Eye On | Ithaca
Thompson and Bleecker found a new home in the old Barr Building on East Seneca Street this summer. George Papachryssanthou, the owner and founder of Thompson and Bleecker, said that when the building went on sale, he and his wife Milly thought its unique character would be perfect for a restaurant. They jumped at the chance to become their own landlords and expand Thompson and Bleecker on their terms.
Welcome to Ithaca and its uniquely varied restaurant scene!
Ithaca has a plethora of pizza possibilities, with late-night staples like Casablanca, franchise offerings from Papa John’s with their $1 slices for Terrific Tuesday, gourmet toppings at Luna Inspired Street Food, fancy wood-fired pizzas from Agava, Ciao, or Thompson & Bleecker, and a few great classic pizzerias like Sal’s and Franco’s, where you’ll pay a bit more but it just might be worth it.

Top Review: “I recently visited Thompson & Bleeker in Ithaca, NY and had an excellent experience. I tried a few different pizzas and all of them were delicious, but the standout dish for me was the Penne alla vodka. The pasta was cooked perfectly and the sauce had just the right amount of cream and spice.
A College Kid’s Guide to Ithaca
Farther into the Commons, you’ll find Thompson and Bleecker, whose gourmet wood-fired pizza can’t be beat. I’m still drooling thinking about the hot honey and spicy tomato sauce. Coltivare is another great American/Italian option, but on the pricier side.

Cozy atmosphere with a large selection of local and international beers. Nestled in Ithaca, Thompson and Bleecker exudes charm and character. While the pasta leaned towards being overly soft, the pizza and salad delighted the taste buds.
