Food is disgusting. Plates are FILTHY with old greasy and dried on food. I ate 1/3 of my plate and took the rest for the dogs. This place must be under New Management because when I ate here a year ago it was great. I never asked for a discount I just told them it was gross. No discount was offered. I ate here on my wedding anniversary and neither of us were pleased with the subpar food. Very disappointing and disgusting. We ordered vegetable fajitas and they were clearly microwaved vegetables that were overcooked, sour cream tasted incredibly off, everything was gross.

"The tamale was the best I’ve tasted at a restaurant. Beans were a bit dry. Enchiladas were good. We didn’t care for the house salsa because of the sweet flavor, but they have 2 others that are more to our liking. Friendly and fast service."

Food wise: back porch grill at the sunbay resort is good, la hacienda, and fishermans wharf (can feed ducks) were always staples to go. J&s Italian villa is ok. It lost a lot of it's charm when the restaurant over looking the lake burned down.

Don Juans and La Hacienda are the two well-known Mexican restaurants, and I'd highly recommend either one. La Hacienda is probably the more "touristy" one, but I think it probably deserves such a status.
