If you read Part 1 of my Hot Springs, AR adventure and eating-travel guide, you know that a client of mine helped inspire this trip. She’s a Texas Poet Laureate with 12 books of poetry published, and when she visited Hot Springs National Park earlier in the year, everyone told us that she HAD to go to the Wednesday Night Poetry Night at Kollective Coffee+ Tea (another favorite of mine). Unfortunately, her schedule wouldn’t allow her to stay through Wednesday when she was in town.

I think we all can agree that coffee is life and a necessity when traveling. Kollective is a sweet little spot right on Central Avenue (see how everything you could possibly want is right on this street?) and they pride themselves on their 3rd wave coffee, excellent tea selection, and locally sourced products. I had a delightful lunch there, opting to order from the “healthy-ish” section of their menu.

Kollective Coffee + Tea is an oasis of intentional caffeination in Hot Springs. The calm, lovely cafe serves specialty coffee drinks, a lovely and nuanced tea selection, and organic bites. After almost two weeks on the road (and eating our way across Austin, Texas), Kollective Coffee + Tea’s simple approach to clean ingredients and balanced flavors was nothing short of medicinal.

Kollective Coffee & Teais my favorite coffee shop in Hot Springs. It has a wide variety of teas and also a number of dishes great for lunch including a large menu of vegan options made from mostly locally sourced products. They have a great Nitro Cold Brew which is made with spring water and for teas, their Earl Grey is a World Tea Expo winner and it’s great as a London Fog.

Nibble just-baked vegan croissants or try the nutty hummus with housemade pita (the chef is Greek) at Kollective Coffee + Tea. Their artisanal teas and espresso drinks check all the boxes: organic, fair-trade, sustainable and delicious. From eclectic characters to architectural wonders, intrepid travelers to Hot Springs will find abundant curiosities to enjoy.

Grab a cup of java and order breakfast at Kollective Coffee + Tea to get you going for a day of shopping and sightseeing. The coffee rivals any major coffee chain and serves it in a much more organic and comfortable environment. You should also pop into The Savory Pantry, a beautiful market offering culinary creations primarily sourced locally and regionally.

The last shop on our list is Kollective Coffee+Tea at 110 Central Avenue. This fantastic coffee shop offers an excellent selection of coffee, tea, breakfast items, sandwiches, and more. In a cozy space favorited by locals and travelers, the Kollective offers an extensive selection of brewed teas along with coffee drinks. Its menu focuses on organic and locally produced ingredients, and I sampled the Detox Salad, a mixed green salad with blueberries, raspberries and strawberries along with mixed greens. Located at 110 Central Ave.

In the a.m., head to Kollective Coffee + Tea for artisan-made java or Will's Cinnamon Shop for made-from-scratch, topped-to-order cinnamon rolls—go big with the Maple Bacon iteration. The Pancake Shop, on Central Avenue, has a robust morning menu and diverse clientele (make sure to ask your server about the "proper" way to eat a pancake).

Although a new business, Kollective continues to host Wednesday Night Poetry, which started in 1989 and is the longest-running poetry series in the country.

Lunch and coffee: Kollective Coffee + Tea is just down the street from Bathhouse Row. Stop in for locally-sourced products that are certified organic or natural, with no GMO’s, preservatives or harmful pesticides. The family-owned business also has poetry readings every Wednesday and live music.

And for the best coffee and vegan/vegetarian options in Hot Springs, check out Kollective Coffee+Tea in downtown. Come on a Wednesday night and experience the longest running consecutive weekly open mic series in the country — Wednesday Night Poetry. In June, in person poetry will resume!.

Kollective Coffee + Tea is a local artisan tea and coffeehouse/ cafe specializing in high-quality local and organic products paired with beautiful presentation. They are passionate about high-quality coffee and tea, and it shows!. Coffee is both a science and an art form at this cafe.

I'm gluten free (celiac) and had the turkey sandwich with NO issues. It was so good we went back the next morning and I did a create your own bagel but with gluten free bread with ham, egg, cheese and aioli and it was AMAZING. Coffee also was fantastic.

Filled with natural beauty, therapeutic mineral rich water springs, bathhouse museums, microbreweries, gangster history and stunning gardens, we hope you’ll be just as amazed with this gorgeous town as we were when we began our Arkansas road trip.

The Kollective Coffee + Tea House is a must for your morning beverage. The atmosphere is adorable, and the coffee is great!. Adam and I didn’t see many, if any, other coffee houses on Central Ave. so it’s definitely the most convenient option.
