Reviews Summary

Sweet E's Café is celebrated for its exceptionally friendly and attentive service, with staff going above and beyond to ensure a pleasant dining experience. Diners rave about the delicious and generously portioned breakfast and brunch items, especially the French toast. While parking can be a challenge due to its popularity, most agree the food and service make it well worth the visit and potential wait.

"We were recommended to check out Sweet E's cafe so came after a morning sunrise hike.

Cozy spot right off Kapahulu that serves breakfast and lunch entrees. We ordered the Extreme Mess that had mixture of three eggs, bacon, ham, scallions, peppers, hash brown, cheese and served with toast. We also ordered eggs Benedict served with herb roasted potatoes. Both delicious options and reasonably priced for the portion size!!

Depending on time you come, there may be a small wait but it moves pretty quickly so you won't have to wait long. Service was exceptional and constantly asked if we needed anything else or more water.

Parking is limited here to about ten or so spots but thankfully another family was leaving so we didn't wait at all for parking. There is street parking as well!"

"As tourists, Sweet E’s was a quick in and out breakfast spot where we fueled up after a sunrise hike or before a day of excursions—get there before 8 am to avoid a line. The servers roam between tables to ensure all guests have what they need instead of a single server checking on you infrequently. My coffee never got cold because every time a server saw room, they topped off my mug! I’m vegan and gluten free, so the only item on their menu I could eat was oatmeal, but they doctored it up with toppings like blueberries, honey, and peanut butter. And my husband had leftovers, which is a testament to the large portion sizes!"

Haley Ward

"This spot was absolutely perfect for a breakfast just around the area—everything about it suited us perfectly. The atmosphere was really fun, and the guy taking names for the waitlist was super entertaining. We're visiting from Ohio, and we had such a great time!"
