Reviews Summary

Laie Chop Suey is celebrated for its authentic, family-style Asian cuisine and generous portions at affordable prices. Diners rave about unique dishes like the cold ginger chicken and the consistently fresh vegetables. However, some reviews mention inconsistent food quality and potential service issues, with a few specific dishes receiving negative feedback.

"You can’t find this kind of Asian food at home! Nothing fancy, just excellent food! Order family style and share the dishes. Try items you’ve never had before. You won’t be disappointed!
We ordered fried wontons, chicken fried rice, honey walnut shrimp, chicken chow mien, and minute chicken with cake noodles. The food came out quickly! Our bill was $36 for all of that food with leftovers. Friendly and helpful service. The locals eat here for a reason."

"This place should be taken down. I’m extremely disappointed in their food. I expected their food would be really good. It was my first time eating their food. I heard that this place has existed here for 10 years. I cannot believe how they survived for this long time with the poorest service. Their chow mein is the worst and their beef broccoli 🤢 I feel very insulted. I had to return their chow mein because it wasn’t fully cooked and then they had added some sort of sauce or something on it when i get a new one. Also the veggies are not fresh and good. Plus, their fried rice with pork and egg… THEY CANNOT COOK. Their food is not worth the price they ask. I’d recommend you not going there. It’s not worth it at all!!!"

"My husband and I had two excellent meals. The best part was how fresh and beautiful the vegetables were. It was a modest quantity, nicely prepared with subtle flavors. I had the Dr Schlachter's dish (a doctor in the same complex) which was tofu with mushrooms and vegetables. Great for somebody on a special diet that can't have heavy salt or soy sauce. My husband had beef with vegetables. Again, the vegetables were just beautiful and perfectly done. Server was very friendly and the food came promptly at lunch time. The white rice that came with it was nice and sticky. Prices may be other than what's listed on the menu so ask if not sure."
