What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Hukilau Cafe is a beloved local spot praised for its delicious, homestyle Hawaiian breakfast and generous portions. While the takeout-only model and occasional wait times are noted, the friendly service and authentic flavors make it a highly recommended stop for an ono (delicious) island experience. It's a casual, no-frills eatery perfect for a satisfying meal on the go.
"such good food. Definitely recommend for a nice local breakfast experience! No seating. Prices are not bad. Must go if you want a good egg, rice and spam and much more! Street parking only, but it was easy to find. There is a corner store right next to it which also served some freshly made snacks and other convenience store items."

"Did I come because of the movie? Of course. Did the food exceed my expectations? Most definitely. It’s a cute neighborhood spot! It was a bummer you can’t go inside to eat but the service and food make up for it! Seriously so good. The banana pancakes were so yummy and the loco moco is mouth watering."

"Found this takeout restaurant while on our way to the beach. We stopped and ordered POG juices, fried rice, hungry Hawaiian plate and of course their famous banana pancakes. For a Saturday morning the wait wasn't bad at all, maybe 15 minutes at most. The food was still warm when we got to the beach and absolutely delicious. I highly recommend trying them at least once if you are near there while visiting Oahu!"
