What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Guadalajara Grill Hawaii offers a convenient Mexican food option within the Hukilau Marketplace, with many patrons enjoying the friendly service and vegetarian choices. While some dishes receive praise for their flavor and generous portions, others have noted inconsistencies in seasoning and traditional presentation. It's a good choice for a quick, casual meal, especially if you're seeking familiar Mexican staples.
"We ordered quesadillas and burritos at Guadalajara Grill Hawaii during our visit to the Polynesian Cultural Center. They had vegetarian options in the menu to choose from. The food was delicious and made perfectly to our customizations. Salsas were fresh and yummy. They accepted cash, card, Apple Pay and Google Wallet. We choose the famous mexican drink Jarritos from the drink selection. Plenty of seating and tables are available just at the back of this food truck. The staff was very courteous and smiling."

"Pretty good Mexican food; better than you might expect at a Polynesian theme park, I guess. Carnitas was a bit salty and the shrimp tasted fishy/old under all the spice but overall, not bad. Food truck with plenty of outside tables."

"My husband and I both ordered the fish taco plate. The two bitty little tacos had a tiny bit (like 2 small bites worth) of WAY under seasoned, mushy fish , lettuce shreds and a teaspoon’s worth of BROWN guacamole. Emphasis on BROWN. The entire taco was very low on seasoning and flavor so we tried topping it with some equally bland salsa. Whats with the lack of anything flavorful??? The black beans were soupy, with more soupy stuff than beans. The chips we ordered on the side weren’t crispy but were instead crunchy in an unpleasant, stale way. All of this and 2 small bottles of water for a mere $65 after adding in a tip. Considering it’s a food truck at PCC our expectations weren’t super high, but we didn’t expect to throw 3/4 of it in the trash and have to go find someplace else to eat lunch. A meal has to be really, REALLY bad for me to take the time to write a negative review. This was hands down the worst meal Ive had on Oahu in my 30 years of coming here."
