Banzai Sushi Bar is my favorite spot for a roll that hits the spot every time. Definitely order a fresh roll, but don’t miss out on the California Tempura—while it sounds simple, it’s anything but. The entire roll is tempura-fried, warm, and drizzled with flavorful sauces, making it a standout!

One of the most popular sushi restaurants on the North Shore. You can make reservations or wait to be seated but be ready to wait from 10 to 30 minutes. There is a Chabudai dining area (Japanese seating style of low tables and floor cushions), regular tables, and indoor and outdoor seating.

Banzai Sushi – The first time I came here, I was so enamored with sitting on the floor and watching surf videos on loop, I barely remember what I ate. The next time we went back, I could focus more on the sushi and it doesn’t disappoint!.

With traditional floor seating, a cool vibe, fresh fish, stellar specialty drinks and an impressive selection, Banzai Sushi Bar is easily the best spot on Oahu’s North Shore — and maybe even the entire island — for sushi.

We attempted to eat at Banzai Sushi two nights during our holiday. However, we had a less than favorable experience both times. The first time we put our name down at the door as we had to wait 20 minutes.

I know not everyone loves sushi, but my kids always ask to stop here. It has traditional floor seating & outdoor patio. Downside – it doesn’t open until 4pm.
